I am more than likely guilty of the things that aggravate me...I aggravate myself at times
Stereotypes - for every finger I point, there's always three more pointing back
People who talk over me or interrupt me in midsentence and think they can anticipate my train of thought. It's not cute anymore. Someone is going to get a punch on the nose one day
Thought cancelling statements- yep, done that. This is a shortcut in any conversation one may have. "So-in-so is an idiot!" No need to discuss any further, the mind is made up. [see intolerance; predjudice]
People who think they understand my needs without any indepth searching of my soul and have a neat packaged solution for me like "All you need is a good ass whoopin! You'll be fine". Then again, depending on the context, is not a bad thing....which leads me to
Bad, passionless sex! A waste of time. AND if we need birth control there ARE other times to discuss this and make arrangements, don't ya think? [And I do mean that for both men and women...guys can take care of business too but we'd be considered too presumptuous if we were expecting sex when we are carrying protection and if we didn't we'd be considered irresponsible....[okay I'm not being fair and I'm off on a rant...come on G...work through it...don't get mad at the multitudes of fine responsible women out there...okay...it's okay now....]Which leads me to
My brain! My brain aggravates me! It goes on tangants, except MUCH quicker than I can type and for longer periods of time...I think sitting in meetings might've done that to me...I used to take Ritalin. All it did was make me shake...Now I found that I'm traumatized and distraction occurs when I age regress...SEE? There it goes again!!! This brain of mine! Anyone want to trade? YOu'll hear nonstop music in it and sometimes you can't shut it off but, I digress....

Pipe bomb at Bethel.
by Etude indoes anyone remember the incident that happened back in the summer of 1974 at what was called the "squibb" building at bethel where a pipe bomb detonated at one of the doors just under the bridge that spanned the complex across columbia heights?
i was at bethel at the time and i even have a picture of two nypd cops standing in front of the scene the day after (if i can only find the picture).
i was thinking of posting it on this forum but i don't know how.

Hello Etude!I do recall hearing something about that...
I heard a story about a Hall where a pipe bomb went off in front of the platform killing a 'brother' in the front row [who had just gotten reinstated]. Of course the bro telling me this said that it was good that the deceased had just gotten in good standing with the congregation

Speaking from his jail cell, Jehovah's Witness leader Ted Jaracz...
by sf ini am in the usenet forum on google and 'stumbled' upon this item i will paste below.
what i would like confirmed by those in the know is if it is, in fact true:.

It was a great fantasy...
If you ask me, this needs to be made into a reality. I've often said to my family if there's any way I could sue the WTS for emotional [this is loaded! I would've been futher ahead in my career if the JW mindset wasn't beaten into me!] and religious abuse, we'd have a class action suit that would go down in history. [Stand in line...]
Can you imagine if the laws of the land changed slightly enough where we could pull this off? And it could apply internationally as well!
I can dream, can't I?

Wouldn't it be better for him if you just helped him find a manager who knows what they are doing?
Not necessarily, dh. We always say,'Get your biggest fan to manage you'. Now, a reputable entertainment lawyer and an agent will have the hookups necessary to fill in the blanks to get the artist heard by the execs but, this business is so funny there is no real foolproof way to break an artist.LouBelle, you have a PM

Why are honest questions considered apostasy?
by Rayvin inthis is why as i was growing up (raised in "the truth") i never asked questions.
i never understood the birthday issue among other holidays.
i never asked because i was scared i would be looked at as an apostate or as someone being worn down by the wicked association.

WELCOME RAYVIN Hang in there... SeattleNG
The fact of the matter is that asking questions can never be dishonest
.
The jury over here is still out on this one...could you explain? [I'm not trying to be a wiseguy but I'm not understanding this statement...]It was because of this double standard where people who study with Jehovah's Witnesses get a choice, but people like me who were born into this religion don't
Well said, GenericMan!
