Oh yeah....the saying!
"It's a matter of conscience"
i'll start.
"at least i know god's name is jehovah!
".......any others?

"You might not get along with all of them but, you know they won't turn around and kill you!" quote from my mother, the one who:
1)stabbed me in the stomach with a screwdriver when I didn't get out of her way fast enough...
2)bashed my head in with a metal towel rack when 'I' made her late for an appointment
3)kicked the shit out of me literally when I had the legitimate excuse for being late getting home and
4)my favorite; after snatching a plate of food out of my hand for taking too much, I frisbeed a slice of bread at her (BIG MISTAKE) and she split my elbow open with a ceramic platter (intended for my face, I put up my arm, elbow first, in front of my face) Definitely would've been too obvious of an injury to go to the Hall and explain what occurred, even though I'm sure she would've had their full support for disciplining such a rebellious act.
Truly the 'fruitages of the WT spirit' at work!

i don't usually start non-jw threads, but i was wondering about other places to move to.
i live in atlanta and while i love a lot of things about it, sometimes i think about moving on.
i was in south florida for the first thirty-five years and have been here for the last fourteen.
Hi Steve
You should check out Atlant...Oh wait, you live here, too! We moved here ten years ago. I'm ready to leave. The last two years I've been to Hong Kong, Germany, Spain, Italy. Get a little olive farm in Ibiza! That would be cool...

ahh.. nicotine.
since leaving the jdubs, i find i enjoy lighting up a pipe in the evening, or sometimes the occasional cigar.
tried cigarettes but i don't care for them much, myself.
I learned alot about why we smoke from my doctor/therapist.Nicotine definitly takes away anger. He recommends no smoking before our group sessions so we will feel everything and express it.
It's funny, I don't like the smell of cigarrettes, I don't inhale (intentionally) and I won't smoke in the house or around non-smokers. It really is a shame to subject anyone, especially children, to second hand smoke.
...but I will smoke
i recieved the following today and was wondering if anyone knows what it is from and is it an exact quote?.
this was posted on a message board that has nothing to do with religion.
this is what the public thinks.
I'm not touching this with a ten foot anything...
hey everyone, i haven't posted here as often as i would like, but i've been busy with other stuff.

Would you associate yourself with something you called a beast, a disgusting thing?
Hmmm, I knew a couple girls like that but seriously, folks...
I could almost understand it if they had to do a legal move and join but, their admission to guilt was their quietly withdrawing from the UN without an explanation IMO

my boss (an ms in a different cong.

Here Here, Nocturne
I've been doing weekly research and the more I put together the past history of the Society, the less surprised I become. The sick feeling turns into 'Well, what did you expect' eventually.
It still leaves me devastated, sometimes...

Well, I got out a couple of hours ago-no thanks to Donkey!!!
