this is a thread that ive been wanting to do for a long time but havent really had the time to do the research needed to flesh out things completely.
the objective of my research is to show the true environmental cost of being a jehovahs witness and furthermore to prepare the information for publication in online environmental websites for the intent of rallying support to change wts policies to make their organization more environmentally friendly.. perhaps this is a strange concept for many of you reading this because we normally dont think of the watchtower society as a dirty industry.

Mindchild, calculate how many average-sized trees are destroyed a year to supply books, mags, booklets, etc for members and non-members. Paper production also involves harsh stinking chemicals. Figure and comment on the environmental impact for that too please.

Like the "Watch"tower Society with fanatics who "watch" (& listen in on) members Scientology agents also spy and in fact I believe it's in Germany and possibly also the US or Canada where their agents have been convicted of wiretapping and breaking into government offices and places of dissidents. They also use lawsuits to harass dissidents and opponents and oppose standard mental health treatment. Doctrines may differ but dirty trick methods are similar. That news article was very mild compared to many, even seemed a bit too friendly given the other stuff.

Randy, you'll remember how we kept emphasizing the importance of that 1998 Awake on the UN, and now somebody posted here on "Friends" or in the "Scandals" section here on another page of jehovahs-witness.com today that the UN's High Commission on Humans Rights cites that very magazine and in particular the article on the UN's founding as backing it. The link would be worth a lot to you for putting on your freeminds.org website with the other UN-WTS liason stuff. Hope you'll follow the lead up.

UN INFO FLYERS ON JW WINDSHIELDS?
by stocwach inanyone thought of this idea for disseminating un issue to the rank and file?
in my opinion it would be pretty easy to print up a bunch of one-pagers from one of the websites that put all the info in a concise format, and distribute them at night during the "service meeting" in the kingdom hall parking lot.. what do ya guys/gals think?

Procede. Use them. They work. Fact is I know because I've emailed some around and the feeback is that they work. Some have quit the WTS, become inactive. Some emailed back "never send such things again because it undermines what I believe" comments.

Now easily reveal the UN scandal in your areas and nations. Mail copies of the following, leave in laundrymats say on the boards there, inside magazines (even Awakes, WTs that get left in laundrymats) in library books, discretely left about in Kingdom Halls and conventions etc:
SHOCKING FACTS TOLD OUT OF LOVE TO THE CONGREGATION & PUBLIC: The Watchtower Society (WTS) over Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) cover up child molestation & let pedophiles go door-to-door http://www.silentlambs.org. They say God opposes the UN but, until exposed, in 1991-2001 were a formal UN associate not just to use the UN's library as proved if you will read the Nov 22, 1998 Awake magazine closely & http://www.unhchr.ch/udhr/materials/articles.htm for the 2nd entry there. 1 Cor 6:1 only says judge "trivial" things as in business, James 2:4-13 calls judging harmful, & Paul says the "majority" (2 Cor 2:6) followed his advice to shun a wrongdoer, meaning a minority chose not to & yet he nowhere condemns them, yet the WTS has formal Judicial Committes destroying families via numerous formal renderings of disfellowshipment (shunning).

About 3 JWs die daily earthwide from the unscriptural policy! (Blood On The Altar by David Reed) Why must anyone be endangered? JWs can form nonWTS groups united by LOVE, join another group or decrease donations & support to the WTS. Please make & use copies of this for years ahead. It was written out of love for our JW families & friends as well as the public's - yours too!

what if we print a single page from one of the web sites that has all the pertinent info on one page, and then distribute them at night on all the cars at the kingdom hall?
this is bound to catch the attention of more than one or two in my opinion.
