it was actually shown to me by my sister - who by the way - with you're help- has seen the truth about the "truth" and is in the process of learning to live a normal life.

the 2 jw convension-halls in the netherlands have now a bank/credit-card accespoint to give contribution to the wts with your bank or creditcards.
do you know this happens in other country's?
it is really strange to see that brs&srs are giving donations with their visa & mastercards.
I have actually known JWs who run up a lot of debt and then reason that the new system is around the corner and they won't have to pay it back (the same ones who don't get their kids teeth fixed)
Hey, the WT spies might get some ideas about the whole credit card deal reading our ideas here. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if the Kingdom credit card became a reality--many bizarre and strange things happen in the Org.

for over 100 years the watchtower was used to getting their way.
they had complete control over their faithful members and those who left had no voice to speak out.
the law was on their side protecting their teachings.

It helped me greatly to get my head back on straight. I made connections with people who understood the whole JW experience. Until then I thought I was truly alone in my thinking and was still guilty over leaving the Org, but I didn't want to be a JW any longer either. It helped me to make the break and gave me the strength to do so. Sites like this and others gave me information that validated my stronger self (who is opposed to the WT Org) I can now speak out more clearly about who I really am. Hopefully I can keep the ball rolling and help and support others too who want to leave this Org, but are still mentally confused by the WT indoctrination process. This is a sweet revenge to help others become whole.

i won't go into my story, as it is posted and, as long as it is, is really only the tip of the iceberg.
the more i read and the more i talk to former jw's, the more i'm convinced that i have been duped..something i never thought would happen to me, as cynical as i am.

this is my first post, and i'm so excited (i've been reading posts on this site for over a year now; i tried to register back in october 2003, but had some problems.
i decided to just go ahead and use my "real" work e-mail address, which seemed to have worked.
just for a short introduction- i got baptized at 14, on september 1, 2001. and on september 1, 2003, the last day of our district convention, i decided i was never going back.

This is part of the whole double think double speak program that I could never twist my head around and nearly drove me out of my mind in the end. Sometimes I think this thinking is a JW excuse to be jealous of someone. If brother or sister-so-in-so get a new job, new car, new house, etc., and they are happy about it, it is the devil tempting them to materialism. But then again these same things could be thought of as a blessing from Jehovah in some circumstances?. And then there was the old JW saying was always if you were too comfortable and things were going your way that you must be doing something wrong! Jesus said his followers were being persecuted so if you were being persecuted and therefore miserable then you were doing something right! But then again JWs were supposed to be the happiest people on earth! Also the most joyful! And mentally at peace too because the peace of God excells all thoughts! Twisted thinking???

a c.o in one of his friday night talks noticed when he was invited for meals at the brothers and sisters homes that everyone has their chairs and sofa's pointed at the direction of the television set and asked why do people do that.
then he went on to strongly suggest that everyone change this and either have their furniture pointed somewhere else or get rid of the television.
what a total moron!!
Advice given to me: "Even if the elders make mistakes because they are imperfect men Jehovah has appointed them and is using these men to shepherd the flock, so to be obiedient to Jehovah we have to be obiedient to the elders" (Even if these elders I knew were obviously mental, cruel and perverted who gave damaging council to many including myself)
More advice: "You have to keep on going to the K-hall even if there are many problems there. When I go in there I just have to put my blinders on and not think about all that is going on around me, especially with the elders."
More advice: "You're not going to the meetings any more! Meetings and field service are not optional in serving Jehovah!"

Weird thought, but imagine a Kingdom credit card. One with a WT emblazoned on the front. This way the WT could make money on all the transactions the witnesses made and then charge them interest on their debt too. By using the Kingdom credit card at grocery stores and businesses you in a sense would be giving a witness when the checkers and cashiers would see you card and know that indeed you were a JW and maybe then it would open up the way for a witness to be given!
Imagine this experience being given in the minestry school!
Checker: "I can see by your Kingdom credit card that you are one of JWs. I worked with a JW years ago and I always admired how humble this woman was which was displayed by her manner of dress and simple lifestyle. In fact, she told me that much of what she earned was dedicated to the church and foremost in her life was to contribute to doing the will of God."
Witness: "Yes, and now with our new Kingdom credit card it is easier than ever to donate! "
Of course using you Kingdom credit card at conventions and at the hall would make you especially cool among fellow believer. You would be showing your true colors if you had a kingdom credit card in your possession.
