Fudging on "Field Service Report"
by Clinton inwhen i was a jdub i used to write down whatever hours i wanted to write down.
when i was pioneering for 7 years i would add a few hours to my time each month so that i wouldn?t fall too far behind.
even when i wasn?t pioneering though i would inflate my hours a bit sometimes so i wouldn?t have the elders hounding me about my time and also so i could hold a ?position?.

i wouldn't ever fudge a report directly by ficticious hrs but played all the 'pioneer pace' games to extend the time as much as possible....
toward the end I put in time but didn't count it - so there!

Which Side of the Bed?
by simplesally ini can sleep on either side but i prefer the right side.
my first ex husband always insisted we change based on which side was closer to the door.
i'll be the pillow where you lay your head, lay your head.

seriously....if I'm on my back with wifee not on top...but you know...actually 'sleep' mode....then I'm on the right side.
alone, I tend to be more towards the left of centre for some reason.....

What happened to me?
by boa ina few years ago....before i went to bethel....i was very troubled in mind and heart and quite fervently prayed to jehovah asking for help.....i really really poured my heart out when all of a sudden...... i went completely catatonic (i was lying down in bed on my back).
i was still concious, but i felt like i was no longer a part of my body and in fact don't think i could've moved if i'd tried to.....it was very strange and i believe its only happened once since then (while during a heartfelt prayer).
has this happened to any of you?.

Unusual things that happen during prayers
by Simon init's a nice warm summer in a welsh sea-side town and the chairman is giving the concluding prayer.
he starts to slow down and then there is a pause.
it lasts long enough to make you open your eyes and lookup in time to see him wobbling backwards and forwards.. two brothers leap to the platform and catch him as he is about to pass out but then, in a rediculous scene, instead of helping him to a chair they prop him up between them and one of them carries on with the prayer!

I mentioned on another thread about the bethel song and prayer in the satellite monday night wt study where the sound failed (but not video) and people kept singing.....and once the prayer was over even said 'amen' (they couldn't hear it what was in the prayer though - jeece!)
during another prayer a bro said a funny thing that went like this: 'thanks for the beautiful music Jehovah, even though some of us here 'could'nt carry a tune in a bucket' LOL!
I too started opening my eyes near the end....just looking round at all the 'sheep', seemingly ready for the slaughter...plus, good chance to check out the nearest 'hottie's ass when she obviously had HER eyes closed lol!

Why is it even ex JW's run scared when they hear the word apostate?
by happehanna ini just told them where i work as a volunteer, that i am going to a workshop for those that have left a cult tomorrow.
they were all fascinated and wanted to know which cult i had belonged to.
i said jw's and this one guy said i he used to be one of them.

the mind control is clear as a bell for me now and that is why anyone would run from the label put on a person for anything.....ie 'apostate', 'atheist', 'satanist', blah blah blah....
my newest method of jw 'cult' or 'sect' deprogramming tactic (for family and friends) is to 'K.I.S.S.' them to death (jwism death, real world 'life) by simple comparisons of their beliefs and the most basic Biblical example of God's servants/ 'organization'. I've found so far that these jws really don't care all that much for the scandals, details of error etc.....its not that important. So for example I might develop the conversations around this - God's prophets of old spoke truth that consistently was fulfilled true - SHOW me an example where it wasn't or there were 'dissappointments' at false direction? (I know I know...I'm saying that from THEIR perspective....personally I'm not so convinced the Bible is the Word of God...sheesh).
Or this one - God's 'organization' (using their terms) was consistently progressive forward, not changing all the time and unclear on what direction God was giving. Most importantly, God, through his prophets and 'organization' DID NOT EVER LIE! Would you (jw) believe that God's 'organization' would ever LIE to you?
anyway....its just my newest angle I'm trying for what its worth.
the 'apostate' term, the way its used by jws no longer concerns me....it has lost its power....of course because I gave it that power in the first place....sheesh.....and that it causes such a reaction even in exjws reinforces the correctness of my own decisions lol

I read your posts there and others and was disgusted at the back slapping, schmarmy, 'ain't this great, there ain't no REAL apostates here', and 'this is so wonderful!', 'we'll be able to have really upbuilding (ack...puke) conversations here' .....gawd what a work of bs....control everything about the forum and we'll no doubt have the truth!

I'm Taking on the C.O.
by Atilla ini have been sick and tired of not doing anything about the constant lies i get from the wt organization on various issues such as the u.n. no one from my parents to brooklyn can give me a straight answer on anything.
so, yesterday, i decided to take a different approach.
i live near a kh that actually has a apartment built on to the side of it for the co who serves all of the kh's in my area including my old hall that is over an hour away from where i currently live.

my experience so far in discussing what the 'truth' means to some of the friends and family I know is that there is more often than not an indescribeable 'feeling' that it is simply so....sigh....
this is probably why I no longer am a witness since my 'faith' that it was the 'truth' was more of a (un)Reasoning book chapter explanation....when the said explanation was obviously false with strong evidence... the whole shebang crashed to the ground
its very frustrating to see my friends and family in such a clouded 'belief' system, yet them so strongly declare its da troof.....I too am having a bit of a time coping with it.......

jeepers black sheep, we (wifee and I) have been there with the c-section blood issue. We weren't 'out' yet, but certainly on the way, still we did all the outward 'works' to say we didn't want blood....I seriously doubt though that I wouldn't have quickly given in if it was required....our anethsatist was VERY concerned to even want to help us for God's sake! I wonder why? ....sheesh
anyway....Old Sylvia receives an email from her jdub sister (who had witnessed over the years about how armageddon was to come about) that says a group called 'formulism' has sponsored a petition to the UN to ban religion.......She goes wtf is 'forumulism'?, and then thinks, 'just look at the obvious integration of religions all through the world into society, including the very individuals who represent members of the UN council and the many military people who are religious! WHO would enforce such a ban?????? Obviously, these are some crackpots who won't be taken seriously.....
New dub Sylivia goes.....holy poop.....It's HAPPENING!....I must get ready.....and the first thing I must do is send this email to everyone I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The TRUTH for dummies. Chapter 1
by beaker inbeing only newly freed from the wts, there are many people who were my friends that i would like to be able to explain the truth about many of the points raised on this board.
so i have decided to compile a publication that i can mail to them with short succinct, hardhitting reasoning on areas where the wts is misleading them and also areas where they are saying one thing but practising another.
i would like to be able to limit the explanations to one topic per page with the hope that if there is not too much too read they may just bother to read it.

beaker....do you have Crisis of Concience and In Search of Christian Freedom by Raymond Franz?
I think your goal of a fairly brief compendium of reasons to seriously question jw beliefs is a good one and these two books have many many chapters that could be rendered down to a page or so that gets the point across why many of the particular unique teachings of jws are wrong......
