Searching for this Site

i tried searching for this site by entering "jehovahs-witness.com" and this site did not come up on the first page !

it was jw dot org etc all the way down !.

how can we change this ?.

After Stan's most recent reply, I closed down all site pages and tried again. Same results as my prior post.

I then tried the Edge browser (I normally use Chrome) to see if the results were different. Edge by default searches with Bing and in searching this site URL, this site was at the top of the Bing results. When searching 'jehovahs-witness', this site was the third search result.

Performing a G search in Edge, when the URL was searched, G did not take me directly to this site but instead listed search results with this site shown at the top of the 1st page. All other results are as I indicated in my earlier post.

When I search in G for the entire URL you specified, it takes me directly to this site without performing any search.

When searching 'jehovahs-witness', then various Wiki and JW dot org pages and recent news articles are listed on the first search page.

When I perform a G search for 'jehovahs-witness discussion' or 'jehovahs-witness forums', this site is shown at the top of the results.

As there are so many relevant pages, a search needs to be somewhat specific on what it is you are looking for, in this case 'discussion' or 'forums'.

i'd like your opinions on constructing an email reply to this shocker below.

bit of background about the sender: she is a middle-aged, cheery uberdub whose siblings left when a schism occured in her congregation in canada way back when.

WT leads JW's to believe they should not respect differing belief's, thereby forcing JWs to attempt to 'save' everyone else by attempting to convert them to become JWs as JWs are told, they would be held bloodguilty by God for not doing such.

It seems many of us when leaving the JW religion, hold a similar belief that it is our obligation to convert JWs from being JWs or at least we must inform them to TTATT. Perhaps we need to stop to consider and respect other people's right to believe as they wish to believe, JWs included.

With regard to the email received, if it had been sent from a different acquaintance that holds other religious beliefs, would you worry about what to do with her email?

Proposed Georgia(USA) Assembly Hall Collected Funds, 3.5 Million Dollars, donated to the World Wide Work

from 2012 thru 2016, congregations in georgia and alabama collected funds to build a new assembly hall in south atlanta.

to date, 3.5 million dollars was collected and 75 acres was purchased.

the branch decided that this assembly hall was not needed.

I suspect when there was a search for land, the 75-acre property was then available at reasonable cost and in the general area central to the congregations that AH would be serving. There is probably good highway access. That property may also have offered the prospect for rezoning the property use, likely from agricultural use to a religious place of worship.

Refusing to Report time in field ministry

what do you think would happen if i verbally refuse to report my time?

it's been several months since i turned in my time and i think the elder got tired of asking me lol.

frankly, i think it's stupid that jws are required to do this.

If you haven't reported in several months, don't bother as they will soon stop asking.

I suspect once a person is deemed inactive, their publisher card will soon be hidden from the CO as that person becomes an embarrassment to the elders since they are proven ineffective in restoring the person's 'enthusiasim'. Your husband remaining an active member of that Cong, makes the situation somewhat more complicated since he remains there and can answer questions about you. The elders can't simply claim you moved away and they don't know where to.

As WT seem to use publisher numbers when stating the number of active JWs, it would be interesting to observe if the number of JWs worldwide would decrease if all PIMO persons who now report fake hours, stop doing so.

Even if WT assures a person all their personal information has been deleted, how would the person verify that actually occurred and there isn't info remaining on file including within backup files stored off-site?

While government's may enact laws regarding personal freedom including the retention of information on individuals, there is no 'privacy police' to verify compliance, making it an honor based system. WT has proven itself to have no honor.

As there is no bible precedent for keeping records on fellow Christian's, WT cannot really justify doing so as a religious requirement or practice.

Do other Christian religions (ie: Catholic, Anglican, C of E, etc) maintain large database of member information or are JWs 'unique' in this too?

Loosing your Privleges and Scumbag elders

so 9 months before i started pioneering, i had a hot and heavy moment with this player witness who was just trying to string me along and talked to a lot of different girls.

we made out and he grabbed my goodies a few times you know the regular stuff all teens do at least once.

anyways i never saw him again because when i refused to send him nudes he dropped me.

JW Privilege = spending your time working for free for no personal reward

Why is 'Pioneering' considered a privilege which can be denied to the person willing to do it? As all JWs are expected to preach to others, why then is a title and elders approval required so as to fulfil a personal commitment to spend a specific number of hours preaching each month?

Affected by assembly

hi - first some context - i have been pimo for about 20 years now and so have been to a lot of assemblies in that time.

last weekend i went to a circuit assembly and for the first time afterwards i was able to talk directly to someone who knows i'm out.

i realised then that although i didn't agree with any teachings (i sat picking holes in the arguements as usual) the experience of being there had affected me - the way of life started feeling normal as did the overall way of viewing the world.

You likely didn't mean it in the manner you did. 'Best way' would be to be POMO and to go off and live a good life.

In continuing to attend and subject oneself to their influence, sets up an internal conflict.

A person portrays an outward appearance, behaviour and speech so as to be accepted, meanwhile, their brain is screaming - 'this is BS', and constantly reminds them how unhappy they are to pretend.

In the long term, with constantly placing their true feelings on the backburner, the 'screaming' in their brain will eventually become a whisper. Although the person may not agree fully with the religion, they will no longer be full PIMO but will have conditioned themselves to be PIMI to a greater degree.
