  COMING OUT PARANOIA?

  hi - all these posts re "coming out" seem kind of paranoid or,what's the word or phrase, like delusions of grandeur, i mean no offense with this but it just seems like few jws would care who you are - at least now they wouldn't care if you done left already - am i missing something?

  who is the faithful and wise servant?

  it's a question that the wt has misused to establish its own authority.

  as it is, the parable today as a cautionary tale applies to whoever it fits, but it is clear who the original servant was that inspired the parable.. .

  lets face it, the bible does not say and so any explanation is little more than speculation.

  those of us here that believe the bible has value can only reason on it as we see fit.

  personally, i do accept the scripures but i do not see the need to take all of genesis quite as literally as the wt does.

  ese's story - a movie of the week special

  not much of as story - raised by extended family - some r jws - never got baptised cuz i always saw the doctrines of men in the "theology" - but have always had a fascination with the religion, but not any anger toward it - i know of a writer who thinks jws and other groups are reptilian aliens and that they seriously messed with some minds - i wonder if that is true - and i read another book that was way different - it was about some jws and some non-jws it is hard to explain but it was pretty good - actually really good - i had to read it in my college contemporary humanities class - .

  so i am sort of like the rest of you absent the anger - and unlike those of you who no longer believe in god - i kind of would like to find a religion or a faith or an ideology that truly glorifies god - the one described in the hebrew bible that some of you rank on - maybe that's why i m here - maybe i m looking for god .

  yo - do u see yourself - obsessing about the wtbts or whatever the hell they call themselves - all this beautiful intellect spent on thoughts of an alleged abuser u all allegedly left - oh my - free yourselves - you didn't leave - u r all in this funky stage of mourning and hatred and realization that not all lovers are true - but, forgive my rambling - i have a question here, what do you think they did to mess with your minds so much that u r still obsessing?

  i surely don't have all the facts, but i do know this much: a man in his twenties felt that his interpretation of a 2,000 year-old book was directly sent from god above.

  i was reading an article titled "saddam's interogators" on page 22 of the april 2004 issue of soldier of fortune magazine, and came across what i thought was a very interesting paragraph: (page 27) "the interrogators will offer simple inducements.

  if saddam answers a series of questions, he will be promised uninterrupted sleep.

  and possibley a change in his carefully monitored diet.

  What must we do to be saved?

  jw's love this topic and have a long list of "do's & don'ts" that need to be completed in order to be saved.

  as you all know - it is a "works based" belief - if you do enough you might make it.

  i have struggled with that concept since i was little, wondering how in the world we could ever do enough to be considered worthy.
