  COLLEGE!

  oh, so in the midst of everything else, college is goin well.. about 30 % of my high school graduating class came here, so its really just like high school part2.

  i have 2 morning classes, and 2 night classes, so that way the majority of my schooling gets done on 2 days of the week instead of 4. last night was my first night in my english 111 class.

  i already knew thaqt there was one witness in there, but its someone who i've kept up with, and someone who is cool with me, as i am.

  Stay at home Dads and Moms

  for those who read what i say, may know i am going to college full-time.

  what you do not know is i have had a role reversal that started today.

  my wife has taken a full-time job during the week while i work at a part-time job on the weekends.

  I am a stay at home dad. Our son is 14 months. Currently I'm remodeling the house, selling a book, cooking 95% of the meals, laundry, ironing, 50% of house cleaning.... oh, and fighting the Tower!

  Since he is so young, I do most of my computer work during his two naps of 2 hours each. He loves to be with me and my tools so for short periods I have him in his play yard with a ruler or a play, plastic, tool near me while work in the house. If I need to work outside, I set up his baby pool next to me and he'll stay there for an hour, easy. Once my wife returns home from her office, she takes care of him and get a good 2 to 3 hours of good work on the house.

  Usually one or two days a week is devoted to house work. Yesterday I ironed for 4 hours... I'm slow. Yesterday, during his nap, he also took his diaper off and and wrote "I love Mommy & Daddy" in poop. That was an hour cleaning him and his bed!

  We look at our family as a business. There are jobs to be done. Who ever has the best opportunity does the work.

  As for your wife. Don't leave a lot of work for her when she gets home. Remember when you used to work the mill and you like to come home and relax/wind down.

  hello all, been lurking a few weeks, decided to post..... i am mid 20's, male, unbaptised, 3rd generation, elder family etc.

  a number of years ago, in the name of intellectual honesty, i decided to research religions to make an informed choice before being baptised as a jw.... there was not enough time (and i was too uninterested) to look at other religions seriously, so i figured if jw is the "truth" then it should be able to stand any criticism.. is it just me or is it all a load of old bollocks?!.

  27.5 Trillion Disappeared?

  there was some belief that portions of the social security balances were removed to fund other govt ventures - which is why there was such a push on for bush to get people to dissolve the social security.

  27.5 trillion is a lot of money - the implication of what bush is doing is being talked about round the financial world and not in a good way..... greg szymanski.

  Actually, the govornment has been taking money from the SS monies for decades. It's not something Bush is trying to hide. Congress, I believe is the culprit.

  NEED ADVICE ON FAKING A REINSTATEMENT

  a friend of mine who is df'd is seriously considering trying to get reinstated in order to have his family back in his life.

  this is not an easy decision because he's fully aware that this isn't "the truth", but the pain of being excluded from normal family relations is really tearing him.

  he has two choices: either move away from his family and try and start a new life, or bite the bullet, try and get reinstated and then do the fade.

  I really can't say much, but I wanted to add this side note, please.

  His family is aware that he does not believe this is God's Organization, but they want him to try and get reinstated anyway, so they can socialize together.

  This thinking alone says that these Witnesses are more concerned about pleasing the Tower than God. God would know your friends stance on the Organization, but that doesn't keep them from wanting him to reinstate even though he does not believe.

  It's the Watchtower they fear. Jesus said his load is light. The Tower says, do what we say or we'll make sure your family never speaks to you again!

  Looks like the fence was not attatched to the poles. Chainlink fence is very flexible. He probably just scooted right under it and the fence plopped back down in place.

  raised in the truth?

  i was just wondering what constitutes as being brought up in the truth.

  my mom was baptized when i was 7 and my dad got dunked when i was 11. right now i don't really consider myself as being fully raised in the truth because even though i've been going to meetings since i was 6 i just slept/doodled through them.

  my mom didn't study with us kids and my dad didn't start the family study until i was 12. i'm turning 20 in a few weeks... i've known life before the truth and it was much bettter, everyone was soo much happier.

  No child borne to a Witness was raised in the "Truth". They were raised in a "Cult".

  Besides, the age at which your parents began studying and were baptized, has nothing to do with your baptism.

  I was borne into the cult, baptized at 17. I finally got out about 10 years ago and none of my Witness family speaks to me; not even my 21 year old daughter.

  And that Elder sounds creapy.

  the jws are soon(next few months) going to make a public proclamation against all other churches which he was confident would 'shake things up' and would make a few jws unhappy???.

  is this the big announcement for september?

  This is no different from any other publishing company, actually. The book Da Vinci Code is a big hit so books come out: Breaking the DaVinci Code, Truth Behind DaVinci Code, and on and on.

  Now the Watchtower sees the fear in people concerning Isreal/Hezbolla war. It's in the news daily, so they are going to capitalized on this by increesing the fear in the r&f with a new publication. It sells/brings in more contributions, and gets everyone back out in the field, inwhich, they will need to by more mags from the Tower. Follow the money.

  I Got The Phone Call Last Night - My Dad Died

  my mom called last night to tell me he passed on sunday.

  he died peacefully and fairly painlessly.

  my mom said she was talking with him, went to answer the phone, and 5 minutes later he was gone.
