i found out wed i had a poem and a photograph published in park universities the scribe.

which is cool since i don't even go there yet, it was quite and honor.

Homecoming

a friend of mine didnt come home after school then went to his high schools local homecoming , he didnt tell his parents or anyone else except for his none jw friends .

his sister also snuck him out to go to a concert twice .

what should i do with him as a friend ?

Sounds to me like you think he may be bad association for attending that evil homecoming.

Try thinking for yourself. I'm sure your friend had a fun time and lived to see another day.

Why Do People Become/Stay As Jehovah's Witnesses???

what makes a person leave their religion and join the witnesses?

what makes a doubter or better yet a jw that knows this isn't really the truth, remain a witness?

i believe most stay on because being a witness is like being a member of a club.

I was thinking of this last night. Where else could your average Joe, with no education, get so much power over other people than to become an elder?

All you have to do is attend meetings regularly, preach several hours a week, and keep your nose clean.

as some of you on the board knew i was expecting a baby, i feel i should let you know that things have not worked out for us.. when i went for the 20 week ultrasound scan last thursday, severe problems were found with our baby's internal development.

only one kidney was detected, and it was very enlarged and polycystic.

there was no long term hope for the baby at all; if it survived to full term it could only live for hours at most.

IMO:

The very fact that the r&f say it's all lies, and that it is all propaganda by the apostates, proves it is a very bad thing for the org. If they refuse to believe it, then certainly, if they could open their eyes, it would wreck their faith in the WTB&TS.

It is not a careless association for the bOrg.

How do you get them out of your head

about 7 years ago i was woken out of a sound sleep by a deafening siren and a blinding light.

startled my first thought was "holy shit, armageddon has come i'm about to die".

the truth was, of course, that a fire truck had passed very close to my second story apartment to put out a fire in a neighboring building.

It took me about 5 years to deprogram, though I still have nightmares at times.

And for the bOrg lurkers... no, it's not because I left your cult. I always had these stupid demon nightmares even as a dub. I had one again just last week. I'm not sure I'll ever totally get that crap out of my head.

I think james is right... FEAR is the big bug they put in your head. It helps to control you.

just a quick run-down for those who haven't followed my court case so far: .

my ex and i have joint custody but primary residence is with her.

she has broken a bunch of the orders that the judge made.

Good luck...I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

The only thing I could tell you is to remember "Theocratic Warfare". I'm sure she'll say what ever she feel she needs to in order retain the status quo. I hope you have documents to prove things such as "she didn't move for ANY legitimate reason...work, mate, etc."

Yes, I'm sure most everyone wants to keep in contact. My grandfather even called the day I flew home to make sure I returned home okay.

I have an aunt who is avoiding me like the plague.
