i put together a chart trying to figure out the lineage of the wts from the millerites.
i'll try to post it(notice the word "try") to see what some of you experts on the history of the wts think about it.. .
(if this doesn't work, somebody send me a message and tell me how to go about it or i can email it to someone who can make it work.

i remember one time at an assembly these two "brothers" were actually arguing over thier seats.
i thought they were going to go to blows.
isn't it funny how during the regular meeting nobody wants to set in the front rows, but boy at an assembly everyone wants to have that "showy means of display" by being in the front rows to be seen by all?
Oh please Sword, I used to be a miniservant... and yes, I was a suck up. I admit it! Suck up!
I loved having the new responsabilities. I loved everyone seeing me grow in the congo. Was Jehovah there? Not sure, come to think of it.

never in my life have i ever seen it snow around christmas time where i live.
it's just a little and it will likely only collect a bit on the grass... but if we're lucky we will get to have a (sorta) white christmas morning!
Chris,

Well, looks like I have met my quota in topics for the day.
We will be on the road to Houston tomorrow, then San Antonio on Friday for Christmas.
I'll probably post the last page on Friday!
What a great Christmas!

there seem to a commonality around here about active jw parents shunning us.. my question is: if your parents weren't a jw, do you think they would be normal, act kindly, be a real parent to you?
or would they still be cold and callused towards you, controlling, etc.
my thought is this, so many times i used to think i wish my mom wasn't a jw because then i thought she would be this wonderful caring mother that i could go to lunch with, share shopping days with, recipes, and we'd be close.
Pink,
I'm sure my father would still be the same.
Thinking of you dog, though, and how you love him... I imagine if your mother's dog pooped on the carpet, she would treat it better than you.
Isn't that odd. The family dog, most likely, gets better care than us.

i have noticed something for the last couple of years.
the lessons appear to me much easier and less meaty (this has been discussed at length).
however, something i haven't seen discussed too often is the changes that have occurred in the thinking portion of preparing for the meetings.
Sounds like they don't want the r&f to think of a different thought answer. It's easier to conform this way.

dear friends:.
i found out on friday evening, my brother-in-law has cancer.
we don't know much at this point, but the prognosis is not good.
Wasasister,
I'm sorry to hear the news of your brother-in-law.
I don't know if he is a naturalist or not, but I have an ex-mother-in-law whose body was riddled with cancer. She changed to an all natural diet and I hear the main ingredient for the remission was "shark cartilage". I hear my ex-wife also beat breast cancer with the same. This ex-mother-in-law has an herbal shop in Woodville, TX (East Texas).
Just a little info in case they would like to look into it.
