Can somebody explain the time sheet process
by tryingtounderstandjws inis it an actual form that you fill out and submit to the main office?
do you break down the hours and what you did?
did anyone find it fun or help encourage them to do more, or was more time just spent getting creative with it?

FIRST AID at the DCs
by tresdecu inthe thread about the old woman who died at the assembly got me thinking about how first aid is run at the conventions.
for many years i worked as an attendant, we were always instructed that, if there is a medical emergency to contact first aid and not to call an ambulance directly from the location.
in the age of cell phones it made much more sense to me to call 911 right away (for serious emergencies) , if it's a stroke or heart attack time is critical.

he was a little older than me and married.
we had a lot of fun and even though he was more " mature " spiritually speaking he was like a big kid who pointed out hypocritical stuff.

Telemarketer...take 2
by whitman ini'm sure you know how much fun i've been having lately with the telemarketers.. this time it didn't quite go so well, and frankly i'm more than a little disappointed in myself.... she asked whether my mum or dad were at home!!
i said 'no', and then she asked what time they would be coming home.
unfortunately i couldn't contain myself ...when will mum and dad get home - i couldn't help it - i laughed... i really laughed so hard that there was no way i could work with that golden material.

Just pick one subject and learn it well. Study it just like a #1 talk, or like a back call....(return visit). Then have your wife ask the elders if it's true. If it is true she will get called under the carpet.

"mexico... manuel says, my grandmother gave me a mother pig.....iam sending as a donation what i recieved from selling the pig.....$110 dollars..." {now i ask you couldn't manuel have used that $110 bucks for himself?}.
"14 year old girl from cameroon {another poor country where people can't afford food}....school supplies, i sold two of last years text books $5 dollars i am contributing this plus an aditional $1.82 from my savings...." {this is very sub-liminal, poor kids are donating so how much will you rich folks give?}.

I remember when I was young, They were saying things like look at the church and all there gold and wealth. While the common people in the shadows of the great church lived in poverty. Yet these people gave to the church!!

DC Experiences - reality vs. perception

she recounted how she endured through many years of her husband's opposition, never giving up, until finally he relented.
eventually, he bacame baptized and joined her in the full-time pioneer work.. end of experience.

I remember a Brother King. He was imprisoned in China for like 40 years? I also was told he wrote the song from house to house. I wonder if any one knows what he is up to today?

Jehovah's Witness Assembly Hall?
by greenhornet ini was driving on some back roads today and seen a large building, the building was about 700 feet square and only 2 cars in a very large parking lot.
the sign in the front said jehovah's witness assembly hall.
the doors were locked and i heard no machine noise inside.
