the assembly hall in bristol was completed around 1995. i have a brochure which i could upload if there is enough interest.. were any of you involved with the construction?

the jw idea of 'paradise earth' seems to be full of holes.

will babies of baptized jws also be in the new system?

if not, how could the child's parents consider it 'paradise' without their children?

Loins or any animal can not eat straw. Animals can eat hay but never straw. There is no nutritional value to eating straw. Straw is used for bedding and building.

One quick question? Can JWs store there blood for an operation? And if they need a blood transfusion can they have there own stored blood? I know this was a big no no a while back. But I know they change there rules every 10 years or so, so thats why am asking what the rules are as of Aug. 2008? Thanks

Can somebody explain the time sheet process

FIRST AID at the DCs

the thread about the old woman who died at the assembly got me thinking about how first aid is run at the conventions.

for many years i worked as an attendant, we were always instructed that, if there is a medical emergency to contact first aid and not to call an ambulance directly from the location.

in the age of cell phones it made much more sense to me to call 911 right away (for serious emergencies) , if it's a stroke or heart attack time is critical.

i had a sort of mentor back at my hall in albuquerque.

he was a little older than me and married.

we had a lot of fun and even though he was more " mature " spiritually speaking he was like a big kid who pointed out hypocritical stuff.

Telemarketer...take 2

i'm sure you know how much fun i've been having lately with the telemarketers.. this time it didn't quite go so well, and frankly i'm more than a little disappointed in myself.... she asked whether my mum or dad were at home!!

i said 'no', and then she asked what time they would be coming home.

unfortunately i couldn't contain myself ...when will mum and dad get home - i couldn't help it - i laughed... i really laughed so hard that there was no way i could work with that golden material.
