I was about 10 years old and I waited in the car for like an hour alone. My mother and a "sister" were at a "back call" . I entertaned my self by playing with the electric windows and killing ants with the cigerete lighter. They got back and the car did not start and my mom said whats that smell?

How many you you hated to wait in the car while someone was on a good call!
by life is to short insomething i have not heard before on this board is waiting in the car out in service or any of the woman who were elders wives waiting on their husbands while in an elders meeting.. i was 24 years old when i got married to an older man he was 41 and had been an elder for about 12 years.
i truly loved my husband when we got married.
i truly loved him like crazy.

My Dad Died Today
by cantleave inhe has been ill for some time, but it was still unexpected.
he was never a jw and i didn't really have a close relationship with him, since he remarried after my parents divorced.
i reunited with him in the mid 90's after over 10 years of not seeing him.. .

Sorry for you loss. However your memories with him will be always with you. My Dad shunned my brother but he made peace with him before he died.

What was your initial reaction to finding out the religion is a cult?
by make yourself inmine was filled with shock and anger but mostly anger.
it made me feel that way because i have never been lied to like that growing up in the religion with it being all you know.

Here is another way looking at this. Each grain of sand on the beach equels one year. Thats a lot of years. But time the grains of sand by a trillion.
Thats only one beach. There will be no children babies ETC. Not a world Id like to live in. It just make no sense.
