  Brooklyn Layoffs and Halt to Kingdom Hall construction projects

  a good source just just told me that at morning worship today that the governing body announced that a total of 1600 bethelites will be let get go and not transferred to warwich when the last property is sold in brooklyn and all kingdom hall building projects are on hold for at least a year so that all the focus will be on the preaching work.

  However, one of the most arrogant people I know is a Bethel elder who gets sent to conventions to give talks. I knew him 20 years ago before he ever went to Bethel. I won't feel sorry for him at all if he doesn't make the cut. He can go to hell.

  I also know of another jerk. I first meet him when he was in his early 20s. This is him on you tube

  Am I understanding this generation overlapping "New Light"

  so i'm thinking...my daughter has a great grand mother that was born in 1900. she was 14 years old in the 1914 year.. well this grand lady died in 1990. my daughter was about 9 years old at that time.

  so my daughter can live until 2065.. she will be about 84 in the year 2065. so this "new light" means that 2065 is the new 1914?.

  can someone say im right?.

  To DA or not to DA, that is the question?

  let me preface this by saying that i don't expect anyone here to make my decision for me.

  i do however note that like the bible says, in the multitude of counselors there is wisdom, and this is a huge decision, so i wanted to put it out there for discussion.

  i really appreciate your words of wisdom, as this affects not just me but my wife also, as we find ourselves in the same boat.

  What Phizzy said was good advice. I faded 25 years ago. If you just fade away they will still be friendly to you . This way you can plant seeds about TTATT.

  But for me it has been 25 years and I moved a few times. So they have no idea of where I am. I did see an elder as I drove by the train station and wow he is really old looking.

  About 6 years ago I was visiting a dying friend. One of the elders came by and said a prayer in front of all the JW family. He then took a turn for the worst and the Chaplain came in and gave him Last rights. I cried is was a wonderful prayer. The Elders prayer sounded like a infomercial.

  Did you hear that!? His Honour is insisting that Jackson attend the Royal Commission

  i actually started clapping at that point, as his honour explained to the wt type creep sycophantic slithery lawyer that........" i understand that we all have issues to face in life and .....that is a part of life...........however it has become obvious that this man ....is in such a position to assist with this investigation.....".

  it boils down to the fact that stewart outright accused the latest witness of misleading the royal commission and this lead to some document searches which led his honour to conclude that they had been protecting mr jackson.

  this was a warm and fluffy moment folks.................brilliant stuff!!!!!
