Who else can get to your guns ?
I dont have a problem with guns in general, but if children have free access to them then its a problem, although I doubt thats a problem in your case.

Guns: Opinions?
by RichieRich inmy mom isnt a big fan of guns, but after being mugged once, she appreciates the value of a well placed firearm.
she doesn't mind that i hunt and go to the shooting range regularly with my father.
about 6 months ago, i was out in field service with my mother and an elder's 2 daughters.

It made me conviced that Armageddon was just round the corner.
That feeling faded as the weeks turned int months and nothing happened.
But it didnt stop fading until I realised eveything JW was BS, so on a personal level it was good thing (obvously not good for a lot of other people. -

A logis puzzle, based on a true story
by stevenyc inyou're a contestant on a tv game show.
the host has three boxes, a,b, and c. .
one of the boxes contains keys to the star prize, a car and the other two are empty .

Let the doors be called q, r and s.
Let Cq be the event that the car is behind door q and so on.
Let Hq be the event that the host opens door q and so on.
supposing that you choose door q, the possibility that you wil the car if you then switch you choice is given by the following formula:
P(Hr^Cs)+P(Hs^Cr)
=P(Cs).P(Hr|Cs)+P(Cr).P(Hs|Cr)
=(1/3 . 1)+(1/3 . 1)
=2/3

You are asked to pick a door you pick the prize door you pick wrong door a you pick wrong door b
Wrong door b is removed Wrong door b is removed Wrong door a is removed you swap you stick you swap you stick you swap you stick you lose you win you win you lose you win you lose
out of the 3 options from swapping 2 of them will win, so the probability is 2/3 chance of winning. Out of the 3 options for sticking 1 will win so the probability is 1/3. So you are twice as likely to win if you swap. -

This will be my last point on this.
In one of his articles he says :
"He is fastidious about his appearance, his home and his possessions. He wants as much sex as possible and chooses sexual partners mostly on the basis of appearance. He is self-absorbed and doesn't want emotional involvement or commitment. He thinks a woman would stifle him and children would be a burden.
Does this sound like many gays? It is also the masculine ideal purveyed by Playboy magazine to men since the 1950's."
Personally I find this insulting and extremly stereotypical. I am gay, am in a monogamous relationship and am very happy. The majority of my friends are either in the same position as me, or would like to be.
True, I know a few people who do sleep around, but they are the minority. -

Everlasting Life--The Carrot Put Before the Public
by blondie ini was looking over the article just before next sunday's study article.. taking in knowledge now and forever.
the attraction is living forever.. a few statements show the trend of the article.. a compelling reason to be selective about knowledge is that our present life span is so shrt.. you realize that you will simply not live long enough to do so.. could a field of knowledge be available that will prolong life significantly, even forever?.
please read the next article, which will offer you the prospect of taking in knowledge forever.. still, he does not promise his readers that they could literally live forever.. however, there is one kind of knowledge that does promise everlasting life.. conversely, if you did live forever, you could take in useful knowledge forever.. john 17:3. let us first define the term "everlasting life.".
