Loads of climbing frames, slides and ball pits, Simon loves going because usually one of the kids get stuck and he has to go in and rescue them.

has been a combination of joy, sorrow, and relief.. my niece in new mexico left me a message this morning.
my sister died yesterday.
Hi Red

im not the first to go through this, i wont be the last.. i was raised in the truth as a result of my mum starting a study when i was 4 years old.
that was in 1968. the hysteria of a 1975/armageddon was just beginning to take root and the sister who studied with my mum was 100% sure of it.
Hi nic
Sorry to hear about your situation.
How does your wife feel about this, does she agree with what you are saying but is scared of the consquences or is it that she is still a firm believer?
I think the best thing you can do, if she is still convinced of the truth is to introduce ideas to her very gently and not to bombard everything on her at once.
As has already been suggested, make time for yourselves doing something you will both enjoy, and that will bring to closer together. I think this is where Simon and myself went wrong, all we seemed to do was agrue about the 'truth' for months.
As Red says only you know what will work best for you and your family. But remember that there will always be people hear to listen to you and support you through everything.
If you want to e-mail me, my address is in my profile.
please listen.

i am preggers.. just left the doctor's office and my hubby's office.
i dropped the little plastic thing-a-ma-jig off, and he said, "what's this?
are you pregnant?!?!?!?".
Congrats Lisa
I'm really pleased for you. Take care.
some people say cats never have to be bathed.
they say cats lick.
themselves clean.
We had a cat when I was little, once my mum asked me to put the bottle of vegetable oil away, me being the lovely child I was, shook it at the cat to scare it, unfortunately the lid wasn't on properly and it promtly few off and the cat was covered in vegetable oil.
Hence our cat had her first bath, and my mum and dad had the scratches to prove it for days.
i was looking at jw sites on the net and i found this site, its pretty cool i must admit and you all seem to be so positive about life after "the truth".
but its also comforting to hear how scared some of you were when you first left.. at the moment i'm contemplating leaving the organization.
i haven't been attending the meetings much lately, nor done any witnessing, and to be honest i don't miss it.
Hi HWT
Welcome to the board, there all lots of people here, in many stages of leaving or doubting, I'm sure you'll get a lot of help and support.
It does get easier.
well i haven't really posted my story here, for one reason it was too painful to write out.
well, i finally did go and write it up.
it's pretty long so i'll just link it.. http://www.geocities.com/veniceexjw/mystory.html.
Thanks for sharing your story Venice. Sorry to hear how much you went through.
What you dad did was great - wouldn't you have loved to have seen their faces when they read the paper.
