my life with the jws has been one hardship after another.

i am sharing this to help others see that jws claim to be loving and forgiving people while they are not.

A letter I received from a JW

this is a letter i received from a jw, sent anonymously.

it was hand-written in red ink, and i have little doubt that had the composer a supply of blood handy, he or she would have written using that.. this was received in response to a very compassionate letter my wife and i sent to our former friends and family, telling them of our reasons for leaving the organization.. the attitude expressed here is typical of the treatment we have received since leaving the wtbts.

(i am roundly blamed for my wife leaving the org, since she was considered to be "strong in the truth", whereas i was always a nominal witness at best.).

Thats how some people view me and Simon, because Simon left before me. He eventually got me to look at the information he had found about the society, and I decided to leave because of it. Not because he pressured me. No one in the hall though has ever asked me how I feel about the trooof, I think they just assume I left because he did.

Sorry you received such a spiteful letter, just goes to show how some people think.

i've seen loads of live acts, back when i was a "young person asking" i watched the crystals, heinz, johnny kid and the pirates, brenda lee, joe brown and others all on one show.

so very innocent!.

come my eventual departure from dubdom, i resolved to see all these bad people playing their music live.

I once went to a David Essex concert. But in my defence I was only about 10 and too young to know any better.

There are loads of people I'd love to see, but thats the only concert I've ever been too

Although we did go to see Les Miserables which was brilliant.

if you've been reading and feeling badly about the posts of the last 2 days, don't let it damage your faith in the kindness of people, jw, "worldly" or "apostate".

there are good folks in all three catagories.. don't let it chase you away from asking questions, doing research, seeking support, doing whatever it takes to come to decisions that you can live with regarding your faith.

whether those conclusions are to stay in the organization or leave it.

Ignorant Elder Comments

i don't know if this was discussed here before, but, what is the most ignorant comment you ever heard an elder say.

i once had an elder say to me that my brother, who was at the time fighting in vietnam will be destroyed and killed over in 'nam because he did not accept "jehovah"!!!!

i promptly told him to go "f" himself.

In England every year there is a fund raising event called comic relief for third world countries.

This particular year they had raised about £14 million,
This elder said during a public talk that 'this £14 million would do absolutely nothing to help these people, what they need is the truth'

So basically you and your kids can starve, but if you have a watchtower that makes it OK.
