  OK My turn to be down in the dumps

  well i had a lot of good news like no cancer and that was great.

  i am healing well from the surgery.. i finally got my wheelchair and that has allowed me a bit more freedom.

  but winter is coming and the wheelchair won't be very useful.. the orthotics.

  omg!!!!

  there is a mouse in here....it is so cute but i screamed nevertheless when i saw it.

  i am sitting here in terror like the little thing is going to be able to hurt me.

  WHY do many women react with horror when they see a mouse? My daughters had mice as pets.....

  I did the same, our kids used to have a hamster and I fed it and cleaned it out all the time which meant handling it, but one day it managed to get out of its cage during the night. I just couldnt stand the thought of it running around the front room and it took me ages to catch it - it was horrible Daft thing is though our old cat was also in the front room all night and it couldnt care less about it - hamster was lucky our old cat was bone idle !

  Tip the bag into a box or something and leave him there until you can let him out - at least then you know where he is and he won't be running around the house (Simon we need a mouse smile !)

  first i would like to thank you all for your courage to tell the truth about " the truth" and watchtower, and by helping ones like my family get so much information about witnesses.. just a quick introduction: we came to canada from yugoslavia 12 years ago and two years after we were baptized as a jws.

  because of that , our relatives in canada shunned us for betraying ortodox faith .

  now 10 years later we are shunned by our jw "friends" even thou we are not disfellowshiped nor did we disassociated ourselves.after reading information on this board about un, paedophilia and inhumane treatment of many who just did not agree with some practices, we just couldn`t go to meetings anymore.

  i am perplexed why the benefit of the doubt can not be given in many cases.

  say for instance you have a poster that from their threads is obvioulsy hurting, depressed or in need.

  why can't others understand that maybe that person will push the envelope, the boundaries.

  Hard to know 'what to do', and it must be hard on the 'mods' to cut him off.

  I wouldn't say that people are 'cut off' when they are deleted, I know Simon has been in email contact with Hamas a few times since his deletion, hopefully things can be resolved soon. This has been the case with lots of people that have been temporarily deleted to cool off.
  

  It is very rare that someone is removed from the site and never allowed back

  had a car crash today...

  hi everyone;feeling sorry for myself and i'm really bored .

  did'nt have a very good day today,,, .

  i was wearing my seatbelt so luckily did'nt hit the windscreen i saw him in my mirror a couple of seconds before he hit and i could'nt do a thing-it was awful, waiting for the impact, i was thrown forwards, then back again.

  Hi I am Caspians sister and this is my first day here.

  hello this is my first post and i wanted to introduce myself so here goes.. my name is lainey, and i have not been to the meetings for about 4 years now.. i am 28 and work as a doctor in a big city university hospital as a sho.. also for my sins, i am cassies little sis, and i am staying with him for a little while, as i am signed off sick for the next month with a stress related disorder.. after the death of my older bro and my dad within the past few months, i started suffering from terrible nightmares, most of them connected in some way to my witness upbringing.. me and cassie have talked for some length and he suggested that i spend some time having a look on this site and meeting others who have had similar issues to face in life.. i hope you are all are better listeners than cassie, who tends to fall asleep when i am in the middle of talking to him.

  ) btw he hates being called cassie lol.. anyway i am not a big talker, so i probably wont post a lot, however i am going to scout around for a while.. thanks .

  Secrect Santa Again This Year????

  XJW - This is how it worked last year: You will be sent the name and address of a person to send a gift to, someone else will have been sent your name and address so you will get a gift too.

  Last year Christy started a thread - where everyone involved posted their interests and sort of gifts they like, so when you receive your name you could go to that thread and see what sort of thing your person liked.
