Sickening abuse case in the UK

i'm sure anyone in the uk will have heard about the poor little 8 year old girl who was subjected to appalling abuse and killed.. i just feel so angry right now...how could so many police, doctors, social workers let her down and fail to act when the signs were so clear and pointed out to them?.

what are they there for, for goodness sake?.

they should all be sacked for incompetence and failing to do what they get well paid for.

Congregation Picnics

my former congregation usually had a congregation picnic once a year.

all of the brothers (a/k/a men) had to pay for all of the food.

the sisters (a/k/a women) had the godly priviledge of serving the food.

We used to go to the beach on Sunday evening for a while (before the large gathering council )

We used to play football or cricket - but there was one elder that used to really spoil the fun by being a complete bastard, taking the games way to seriously. Little kids would try to join in the game and have a go at hitting the ball, only to be called OUT and ordered off the the game completely by this elder when they missed or hit the stumps or if they handballed in football no allowence for their age at all, or the fact it was supposed to be a fun time - these were like 4 or 5 year olds who just wanted to have a go and join in - most of them went running back to their mum's crying. and if they tried to sneak back again they would again for odered off - I hated that elder

ran over a hedgehog tonight, i wasnt driving but i coulda saved it but i waited too long to tell the driver that the hedgehog was walking towards the car, i saw it, they didnt see it because they were talking and i waited for them to finish their sentence before interupting, then bump, i looked back and saw blood and guts, how stoooooooooopid am i. i was just about to say "watchout hedgehog in road" but hesitated so that the person could finish their sentence...silly fck am i.. .

ever run over or hit an animal?.

I ran over our own cat a couple of years ago and she had to be put down she ran out of the hedge straight under the side of the car while I was reversing out and the back wheel caught her.

I felt terrible and was a blubbering wreck in the vets surgery and I've still not told the kids it was me. They think some other car did it and I didnt correct them

We have 2 new cats now because the kids missed her.

Would You Buy A Lottery Ticket or Smoke In Front of a JW?

I dont smoke but I was once buying a lottery ticket and not really paying attention to what was happening - Got to my turn in the queue and I looked up just as I handed over the slip - it was a JW serving me

So I guess the answer is yes !
