The baseball bat scene in Untouchables - I have never got past that part even though Simon tells me its a great film.
Hobbling in Misery and ear scene in Reservoir dogs (turned it off at that point)
dear all,.
there's not much that makes me wince, not at the movies anyway, but those things that have, have inevitably stayed in the memory.. i saw it a long time ago at the cinema, but the reservoir dogs scene where michael madsen cuts a policeman's ear off to the track stuck in the middle with you, was one such scene.
certainly couldn't watch it again.

re: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/8/116108/1.ashx.
a bethel insider in the know told me that all of the child abuse lawsuits where the watchtower bible and tract society was one of the defendants were settled back in the beginning of this year.
i questioned it and called napa myself and they were absolutely settled back then.
""I am extremely disapointed on Kimberly Norris, their attorney. I asked her a couple of years ago in this list and she said she would never settle. I guess everyone has a price...lawyers standing on the sidelines are not exeption.""
I think that is uncalled for. Kimberly has done good and got a result for the people she was representing - that is her job do to best by her clients. The bad publicity against the WT is secondary to getting closure and compensation for these victims.
This case may not bring the huge headlines lots of people were hoping for, but it opens the door for lots of other cases, to keep chipping away at the WT and hitting them where is hurts most - their bank balance.
the movie is full of action, gymnastic feats of superhuman dexterity and strength, humor, interesting characters, etc.
all one could ask from a comic turned into a movie.
the ending will leave one with a bad impression.
We're off to see it at the IMax soon ...
That was Simon above - he forgot I was logged on !
You win the knowledge of a job well done :)
Sorry about that - I am hard at work on a new improved version which should be a lot more robust (as well as providing some jazzy new features)
mine would have to be "dark days are here!
men live in fear!....
" followed by the annoying change to a happy beat before the chorus "but the bible gives us a reason for cheer.." .
How sad I am, I've been out probably over 4 years and I can still remember all the tunes and words to these.
I now going to have Move Ahead buzzing around in my head all afternoon !!
I think its a nice idea, I read about this a while ago where a geologist had died and his wife had his ashes made into a couple of diamonds for her and her daughter to remember him by.
It would be awful if it ever got stolen or lost though.
i've been trashed and bullied by one poster for posting info off the internet that i was offering to someone in need of hope.
i began a thread on the subject of whether it is right or wrong to offer hope to someone in desperate circumstances in order that the poster could see that theirs wasn't the only opinion of any value.
while most who responded were in agreement with the validity of being encouraging and offering hopeful info that can be looked into or not, it's the viewer's choice, that poster has continued his bullying, stating that i'm mentally, literally incompetent, basically stupid and irresponsible, though i'm so incompetent that i shouldn't be actually held accountable for my well-meant ignorance.
I think it time this issue ended and was taken up by PM if anyone wants to continue it.
is it wrong to give people hope when they've been diagnosed with an illness that can lead to much pain and death if not treated successfully?.
i ask this because i just got a pm from an angry poster over my posting the following link and info on an antibiotic that bbc carried the news in regard to and was being researched by camcer research uk: http://www.rense.com/general58/anti.htm.
also, i noticed that mary replied with this link to yet another site that showed a study at a university in canada had turned up another cheap, safe drug that kills cancer cells: http://www.wanderings.net/notebook/main/cheapsafedrugkillsmostcancers.
Well said Crumpet & lola, I think it is time this ended
