I feel sorry for the teenagers who are only encourged to pioneer. I know of people who did really well in their exams and could have a good career, but they have ended up getting a crappy dogsbody job and pioneering because that is what is expected of them.

I miss the Social side too - not so much from my last congregation (I never felt like I fitted in there), but from the congregation in Wales and all the people I grew up with.
You don't realize until you leave how powerful the no outside associates suggestion (rule) is - it was only once we left that we realized how few people we know who aren't witnesses.

hey who here as a kid added little embelishments to the wtbt publications?
a real favourite was drawing in arrows and spears on the guys on the inside cover of the song book.
you know the ones clutching both hands to their chest as they sang their hearts out....well all of mine were actually clutching at an arrow that was sticking out of their chest.
Its amazing how much entertainment a pair of feet can provide at mind numbing district convention.
