  another topic brought this up.

  my dad slugged a guy who beat up his own wife, my dad's childhood friend, during the intermission right after the public talk.

  which my dad gave, he was guest speaker.

  Angharad, I want to hear more of that sister who slapped the elder!!!

  I'm not sure what exactly it was over but the sister was really angry with the elder about something and was getting louder and louder, I think he was trying to calm her down as they were right at the front of the hall and she slapped him ! After she said that he had made a pass at her !! (yeah right your sat at the front of the hall !)

  The sister was a bit irrrational and had fell out with quite a few in the hall at various times.

  Anyway it was all highly entertaining at the time

  Who Was The Very First Poster That You Met In Real Life?

  the first poster that i ever met was philo.. we'd traded a few stories via the site and i realised that we knew some of the same people down in portsmouth.. he was very cagey as to his real identity, but eventually we shared emails and he told me all about himself.

  one day, i took hl down to portsmouth to see my daughter who lives there.

  i'd mentioned it in a post, that i was going in that direction.
