The first year we left, our little rebellion was to put up a little christmas treethat lit up in the front window, in the middle of OCTOBER
And it was noted, as my sister who lives 80 miles away found out about it
Who cares what they think, have fun
.

actually the federal screeners at all u.s. airports - my friend called me crying last night saying she was forced to have a pat down search at the airport.
she said she initially refused but was met by police and a supervisor with threats if she didn't comply.
she cried the whole time...i told her to drive instead of fly...
Maybe I'm mising something but I'm a bit confused about what the deal is - lots of people are searched in this way everyday, I was and our 6 year old was last time we went through an airport, because something on us set the metal detectors off.
The amount of people that set detectors off everyday would cause a huge delay if each one had to be taken to a private area to be patted down.
i'm so sad.
he was always such a cheerful fella.
a great england captain too, in his time.. .
That was a shock when I saw it on the news yesterday. Very sad
about 4 years ago simon developed a timeline to chart the history of the jws and their beliefs, but didn't have time to maintain it with the latest stuff.. .
i have now finished bringing it upto date with all the lastest things such as the child abuse issues, un etc, and i've also added some more older stuff as well.. .
any further suggestions for additions are welcome.

BTW: There is a slight formatting problem when a large number of fields are selected (overlapping) but that should be fixed soon.
i need a bit of advice as i'm at my wits end.... i've suspected that my missus may be having an affair.
you know the sort of thing.
the phone rings, i answer, someone hangs up.. recently she has started going out 'with the girls' a lot and when i ask which girls it's always "just some friends from work, you don't know them".. i always used to keep an eye out for her taxi coming home but now she always walks up to the house although i can hear a car setting off as if she has just got out of one around the corner.. the other day i picked up her mobile, just to see what time it was, and she went mental, screaming at me that i should never touch her phone again and why was i checking up on her.. anyway, i have never approached the subject with her.
you really had me going there for a half a second
Me too
Duct tape is very handy for sealing up protective casings especially when you've accidently nearly severed the internet cable connection whilst gardening
the details of who to send a gift to will be getting pm'd to you all either friday afternoon or saturday morning!
according to the information i've found online the last posting day for standard parcels is dec 11th for usa and december 15th for the uk/europe, so you should all have plenty of time to select and send a gift, although sending sooner rather than later is prefered.
can everyone taking part post on this thread what things they like, what their interests are etc so that the person who is buying a gift for you has some idea what to get you.
As we haven't been doing Christmas that long we haven't got a huge amount of christmas tree ornaments, so anything like that would be nice
thanks, rabbit, you gave me the idea.. kids will come out with the funniest sayings, even though they themselves are serious when they say them.
like my grandaughter, whose 8 years old:.
while i am driving my "new " toyota she says to me, "grandpa, in a few years, are you going to get another car and get rid of this one"?
My friends little boy (4) was singing the nursery rhyme that goes, the farmer's in his den etc, the second verse is the farmer wants a wife.
Well he got the two verses a bit mixed up and was walking around singing at the top of his voice 'The farmers in his wife, the farmers in his wife'
He had everyone in hysterics and had one idea why !
this is my second year filling a shoe box for a needy child somewhere in our big world.
the people that run this program are called "samaritan's purse", and they have gone a long way towards helping me maintain my joy for the season.
i have so much fun filling the box with simple, basic items that will make a child smile.
Great Jgnat
The school our kids go to have had this as their yearly appeal this time (they usually collect for local charities)
We sent our shoeboxes in last week
We explained it to the kids and they really enjoyed filling the boxes and were really thoughtful about it.
gina just got off the phone with her mom.
we were tired of lying to these otherwise nice people, not to mention disinfecting the car of all "worldly" paraphenalia, and fearing the inevitable "pop-in" visit while holiday decorations are up.
she felt bad about it, and so did i. but now it's over.
((((Dave & Gina))))
Stay strong and look after each other, it will get easier
my beautiful, sweet, loving, kind grandmother passed away today.one of the only three people in my life who ever loved me unconditionally.
at the end they tell me she was not struggling, but for weeks before that, she did.
she suffered, horribly.
((((( Essie )))))
Grandmas are so special, thinking of you
