brief history:.
both my wife and i have faded from the borg for about 10 years.
we still maintain close relationhips with the dubs in our family on both sides.. my wife's sister has not only faded, but she has become an ordained minster, thus my mother in law calls her an "apostate" and refuses to have any contact with her.. her 4 year old daughter will stay with my family for about 2 weeks in august.
My wife is begining to bow to the pressure of her mother and is now considering bring the child to grandma's and not tell her sister, who is vehemetly against it.
You can guarantee the sister will find out - 4 year old child excited to see mummy after a little holiday and will tell her all about everything she did, including the lady we went to see who said she was Grandma !
I hope you can talk you wife out of it as it will hurt her in the long run
did anyone else have funny expressions for toddlers in their families?

well...today was a monday from hell...had lots of running around to do.
i finally got our van registered (have been driving it for over a year unregistered and uninspected...amazing you can get away with that down here.
i know people that have been arrested up north for that haah).
This is where my 5 year old comes up and says, in her morbidly serious way: "They are going to have to cut her nose off to get it."

I was the baby of the family and remember my older brother telling me I would have a tree growing in my belly because I had eaten an apple pip - I remember going crying to mum over that !

so- here's some good news, and some bad news.. bad news first.. my alternator is dead.. good news.. no service for at least a week.
bad news.. had "dates and such" i had to cancel.

Turns out a pulley inside the engine had collapsed and damaged something else

Simon limped home on Wednesday with a horredous clattering noise and no barely any power coming from the engine of ours - luckly it happened right near home and not during the 60 mile trip he had just made. So it was towed off to the garage on the back of a waggon yesterday
