I just want to say that I only started this thread to make posters aware what can happen when you post your personal information on the net. I can't emphasize enough the point I'm making is, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE OUTED, for whatever reason, DON'T POST YOUR NAME AND ID ON THE NET. I hope this helps posters realize that we should take our friendships here and on other forums seriously and make sure it's o.k. to share information about another poster, BEFORE doing so. The WTS has already wrecked so many lives we don't have to help them.

someone was outed when i was a newbie.
It's sad for anyone to do that to another person, especially when you think someone is your friend. I have tons of family members still in and I would really hate to lose my contact with them just because someone outed me. If I choose to do it, it should be my decision.

I had a mental lapse there for a minute. I usually always say what I believe. Rising...didn't mean to offend you so horribly, I'll really try and watch that for next time!
Just to keep things on topic here...if you have an issue in another thread about another topic, feel free to discuss it there. This thread is about outing people.

When you realize how conditioned we all were to listen and obey everything we were told, and we did just that....that's strange indeed!!! I still wonder how I could have been duped into doing that?????? When active JW's even hear a whisper contrary to what they are told to believe they automatically put up concrete walls and refuse to even think contrary to their beliefs. It's very hard to break those walls down. I lurked on this site for about 2 years before ever posting. I have friends that faded when I did and they don't know I even post here. I can't even get my foot in the door talking about it. This religion can have a hold on you for years after getting out. Unbelievable!!!
