Hated it!!! My 2 sons couldn't stand it either and they both have very different personalities. I expected 1 of them to like it. It was just boring and unfunny.
Saying that, I have friends that liked it and I respect that.

WE JUST LOST OUR DEAR GOLDEN BOY
by juni inwe lost our loving golden retriever, coach, this week.
he has been very sick and we did everything we could for him, but our last show of love for him was to have him put to sleep.
he was only 6 1/2 yrs.

So sorry for your loss!!! They really are like members of the family.
As you can tell by my avatar I have a yellow lab...he is 10 1/2 yrs old and was born on July 4th! I had 2 vets tell me to put him down at 6 months, but I decided to put him on herbs and healthy diet, etc. and he has lived a very good life. I don't think he will be around much longer and I am dreading it because he has been with me through so many personal tragedy's in my life. It will be a SAD day when it happens.

The sad truth is that Americans are not very well educated, and that is why 60% of Americans believe the Genesis allegory/story is literal science and history. Americans loathe critical thinking and subjects that are difficult. Keeping people ignorant and superstitious plays right into the hands of TPTB, because it makes Americans easy to lead into stupid wars and anything else TPTB (The Powers That Be) wishes to lead superstitious ill-thinking Americans into.
I feel sorry for you! Putting others down is no way to get people to see your side. You must feel that you got an extra helping of brains, by who/whatever was handing them out, and you may have, but they took something away in the process...feelings.

Can the Jehovah's Witnesses society be sued
by caz inmy sister who is the ex wife of the fellow i posted about,( re: commiting suicide) was a jw for 17 years being df'd 4 years ago.
i have told her about this site and read to her the replies to the posts i have made and she has had a browse around but will not join yet as she does not have access to the internet, although she really loves the site.
she and i were talking this morning and thru me she would like to ask; does anyone here think it would get her anywhere if she were to sue the watchtower society for years of guilt and mental stress she and her late ex husband have suffered?

It would be extremely tough to win...anyone can sue. Religion is protected by the law even more so than employers. I read about a case that was lost recently, and I believe they had been trying to win on similiar grounds. The court said they had been free to leave at any time and the religion was not responsible for their loss of friends, etc.
I knew of a case where a woman (sis) was being interrogated in the backroom and she got very upset over how the elders were dealing with her...(I don't know, but I really think she pulled a fast one...good for her!) and she started crying hysterically and ran out of the room, called the police and told them that these guys were abusing her! (I don't know all the specifics) Her non-witness husband was beside himself to say the least...they went to the local media...she was threatening a lawsuit and before you know it, the paper announced that WTS had settled out of court with her. (If more people did that, I wonder if they would change their policy on 3 men against 1? Especially taking a woman/child back there alone!)
That's probably the best way to get them to pay, if you are still in!!!
There is an attorney who is filing a class action lawsuit for abuse victims that posts here and may be able to give you some good advice.

I didn't get the memo re:silentlambs
by DanTheMan incrap, i had a rather lengthy im conversation today with my coworker who was raised jw, and among other things i brought up the pedo issue.
she hadn't heard anything about it but was very interested in learning more, so i referred her to silentlambs.
but apparently that site isn't up anymore.. anybody know of other websites that i might refer her too?
