when i opened the door i was expecting the apartment maintance guy.

instead there were two guys with watchtowers.

Here's a thought...according to John 10:16 it says: "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold; these I must bring and they will listen to my voice and they will become ONE FLOCK, one shepherd." After much reading and study, I can only come to the conclusion that Jesus first came to the house of Israel and then he opened up the way to the Gentiles. These 2 groups make up the 1 flock. That means that he is the the mediator between man and God. Period. He also mediates a covenant for a group to go to heaven...this in no way means he can't mediate for other mankind. Lawyers can for example be mediating multiple issues at the same time. 1 Tim. 2: 1-7 cannot be ignored. I think the NT was written to all mankind, not a select few!!! So in reality all should be partaking of the emblems as he said for all his follows to do this, not just look on. How obsurd that Jesus would expect millions to look on while a few partook...Where he chooses to place people is his own decision, not ours. If you read the Bible without the slant the WTS has put on it, you will see that it speaks a different concept than theirs. If you believe that Jesus came to redeem mankind, there is no way that you can think the gospels were written for 144,000...which in itself is an issue. There is no way that one can believe that Revelation is written in signs and symbols and then take this number literally! I for one, am tired of men talking for God and Jesus. Let each one read and come to their own understanding...God can take care of his affairs!!! He doesn't need man to run around making up rules that just aren't there. The GB has more rules than the Pharisees!

when we studied this para in todays watchtower i found it hard to believe that an elder would think this way, what do you think?

16 yes, no matter what dark valley we may find ourselves in, we do not have to walk through it alone.

Or maybe he had done something in the past and thought it was catching up with him....which is basically what they are telling the elders now regarding past mistakes. If it is over several years old and they seem to be doing fine there is no need to bring it up as Jehovah has apparently forgiven them.

Our new house guest

this weekend mozz and i went out of town to visit some of his family.

this morning on our way back home, we decided to meet some of them at a little truck stop restaurant to have breakfast.

we got there and noticed this little dog outside of the front door.

He is adorable!!!! Looks like he could be someone's lost pet. You could go online (google) and go to the lost pet section, there are several and see if anyone has posted him as missing. When my dog disappeared for a week, that's what I did. Eventually, he came back home on his own. Hasn't left again since. Ask the vet to run a scan to see if he has a chip...if all that fails, it looks like you have a very nice addition to your family!

Metatron, I DON'T get how staying in IRAQ is going to solve this issue. Why can't this be addressed on our own soil and a solution devised that would help control terrorism. I totally believe that countries have to be pro-active, but much can be accomplished on a different level than the FAILING war in Iraq. What is it that you think can be done there? This approach isn't working...I'd say it's back to the drawing board!

I just wonder if we would have been attacked had Clinton still been president??? It seems that Bush has antagonized most of the world. As there was already tension throughout the Muslin population it just opened up the US to this terrorism. We should shore up our own borders and then lend support where needed throughout the rest of the world. Period.

What happened to finding Saudi-born Usama Bin Laden??? What happened to the rebuilding of Afghanistan? Bush considers the Saudi Bin Laden's as family...wonder if that has any effect on the decision not to pursue this too heavily? Wake up people and see this for what it really is!!!! IRAQ DID NOT ATTACK US AND DID NOT HAVE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!!!! We are not over there fighting for what was done to us on 9/11...why can't people see the facts?????

We need to withdraw as soon as possible without leaving the country in complete shambles. If they have a Civil War...well so did this country and many others. They may just have to fight that out on their own and make up their own constitution to live by. Our funds need to be spent on this soil to help our victims rebuild their lives and not keep pouring it into a money-pit. We've lost enough soldiers in this dead-end war. (If they want to keep fighting, send congressmen and senators over there for their tour of duty...I'd like to see the Bush's two daughters sign up!)

It Seems That My Children Are Not Trained

i just returned home from the kingdom hall.

i am an elder.. after the meeting all the elders were called to the back room.

i thought this was an impromptu elders' meeting.

Hi Gary,

I was raised a witness and I can tell you it was the most horrible thing to go and try to sit still every week. It was torture to me and I wasn't even as hyper as some kids. I got my share of beatings!!! It still makes me so angry that there is no provision, such as Sunday school, for the kids to be able to go to. There they could color and do other fun stuff, instead of sitting and listening to 2 hours of information they can't even begin to understand. It's really not fair to put children through this form of abuse. I sat in the library for several years with both my sons and brought them stuff to play with...no one got on to me for that. I understand that you are an elder and have to set any example, so you are going to have to make up your mind what is more important to you....You/elder or your family. One of my brothers had 3 small children and he stepped down, telling them that his family needed his attention first and foremost. I admire his decision to this day for doing that.

Your kids are never going to be this age again, enjoy them while you can.

Hubert: You seem to be a real nice person...and that is why you have fallen victim to newscasters over on Fox! #1---Bush's cousin is head of the network...don't you find that a little odd as they are so pro-Bush. #2-Are you hearing the news that soldiers are being paid off over there to give pro/Bush/American accounts to the newspapers to publish? I think it's about to hit the fan and a ton of dirt is about to come out...I hope you don't continue to be mislead by the guys at Fox...change the channel!
