I take drugs for thyroid replacemenet, and for high cholestral... and they are expensive as hell. Now, if these drugs I pay hundreds of dollars for were available to others at a cheaper price, I would wonder why I have to pay so much.
Another part of the problem here in the USA is that any drug sold has to be approved by the FDA, or not be sold here. This process takes years, and much money. Countries like Mexico do not have those approval rules and sell similar drugs way cheaper. Many here in Arizona drive to Mexico and buy thier drugs. I am tempted myself.
To me, there shouldnt be a price based on what you can afford. That just punishes those of us that work, unfairly. It is socialism at its finest.

by Jesika ini was putting clothes in the dryer the other day and went to turn it on and it wouldn't start.
i couldn't figure out what was wrong since i had just taken some clothes out of the same dryer.
i looked down and noticed i hadn't closed the dryer door .

One of mine may only be funny to those of you that ride motorcycles.....
We used to go out for rides as a group... 15-20 bikes doing the bar hopping thing for a day or two, covering several towns. I had a chopped Sportster, a nice hotrod of a bike. I had this lock that went into a loop behind the front fork. When locked, the bike wont turn.
You bikers are already smiling, right? You know whats coming............
We had this bad habit of getting drunker with each stop, but always managed to make it to the next stop without incident. The trick was to keep the group together. Well, this one stop, I finally get the bike running while the group is already pulling out... so I gas it and let the clutch fly. It was only after the clutch was out that I realized that the lock was STILL in the front fork lock. The bike did a half circle before I hit the brakes, which forced the bike to dive onto its left side with me on it.
So, ther I am... laying on the ground with my left leg under the bike.... the bike running.... the switch is on the left side of the engine, which I cant get to to shut it off. My guys all were gone, not knowing I fell over.
Needless to say, I managed to get out from under it altho my boot stayed there. Once out, the rest was an easy fix and I removed that damned lock and heaved it as far as I could. I never locked that bike again.
It took a while to track down the guys, and then it took a while for them to quit laffing.

it was the episode where debra decides to try a job outside the home.
she doesn't do it for the money - the barone family is doing just fine on ray's salary - she does it because she needs something "more" than just being a wife and mother.. naturally, there's subtle and not-so-subtle criticism of debra's desire to do something that will make her feel like a more rounded-out person.

Since I was so young when I left (15), I never had dreams other than those forced on me by the JW types. So, in theory, I never had a dream squashed.
Over the years of struggle, trying to make a path in life, I often wondered how life woulda been had my mom not been a religious goofball. Same with my sis... had we gone thru life without the brick wall of the JW's, where would we be today?
Its just a good thing that I am my own God... I made a path and wouldnt change a thing.

Take away patent rights, and you take away any reason for manufacturing a product. Companies dont invest millions of $$ just to give it all away.
Also, the WTO should have never been given an exsistance.

All classes? Since when does the USA have a class system? It is simple here.. you work, you get paid, you enjoy. The "rich" dont get all these breaks that CNN talks about. The "rich" hire people.... and unless I am wrong, I never saw one poor guy hire anyone. In a capitalistic country, like ours, the "doers" will live comfortably while the "non-doers" will bitch about it while falling behind. And, those latter persons are the ones the liberals will target, to keep the "class" system alive and well.
The economy has already made strides in the past quarter.... and will grow much more in 2003. I dont say anyone person or party is responsible, but it is happening.
