My landlord is such a complete dork
by lauralisa inif there are any real estate agents out there, or people who know about such matters, i would really appreciate some opinions.... if not, i could really use some plain old sympathy.
just 8 months ago, my mate & i moved over 1000 miles to a new state .
we found a house to rent.

We rented several houses before we bought in 87... and all of them were for sale while we lived in them. We made sure that were were given notice so we could pick up around the place.
All of the landlords dealt with us nicely, and even let us out of our lease early when we asked. When we looked at the rent vs mortgage costs, we bought.
I did have one asshole landlord... when he gave me grief, I asked kim privatley if he had fire insurance.... never had a worry from him again.

Calling all Los Angeles folks
by animal inas some of you know, i commute from phoenix, az to los angeles for my job.
it will last thru january.. several of us have been unsuccessful in getting together thus far, but came up with a plan during a weekend i am there.
i will be staying over thru the weekend of january 4th, in the hotel in el segundo, http://www.embassysuites.com/en/es/hotels/index.jhtml?ctyhocn=laxeses .. the hotel has a happy hour from 530pm to 730pm, guests are included.

As some of you know, I commute from Phoenix, AZ to Los Angeles for my job. It will last thru January.

The hotel has a Happy Hour from 530PM to 730PM, guests are included. My suite is a 2 room suite, with a fold out couch in one room and a king in the other.
Anyone wanting to come up and meet... party... eat.... whatever.... come on over. Stay over too, if you want. Hell, we can grab another room if we need it.

Personally, I wouldnt want total freedom.... I want and enjoy liberty, which leads to freedom with responsibility.
If I were rich, maybe I would help get meds to the poor.... who knows. BUT, I wouldnt want my govt or anyone elses govt telling me I HAD to do it. Maybe thats the diff?
