  Why Don't They Have Windows???

  .

  this may be a question that has been answered millions of times but i've seen it in alot of posts lately.. why don't the kh have windows?

  what is their bible-based answer for this one?

  I attended three kingdom halls in my lifetime that had windows. Sometimes they would even open the curtains to let the New Light in.

  Why do Jehovah's Witnesses contemplate suicide?

  a problem common among jehovah's witnesses is the feeling that they are not going to make it to live past armageddon.

  even though they keep a rigorous schedule of activities designed to earn them a righteous standing with jehovah, the witnesses themselves are keenly aware that they fall far short of the perfect standard set by god.. why do so many jehovah's witnesses consider suicide at one time or another?

  I thought about suicide, when I was a teen, when I thought I had gone too far, broke too many rules, violated so many righteous JW laws that I would never be forgiven. The guilt and fear tears you up completely and suicide starts to become a very viable way out. Masturbation was the worst guilt inducing thing ever.

  What Would A Jehovah's Witness Reality Show Be Like??

  The first episode will depict a middle class JW family getting ready for meeting. Dad, with dark circles under his eyes from working his janitorial business 7 nights a week, bitches at mom for putting on too much makeup, Mom is bitching at their teen daughter, Kelly, for wearing her skirt too short, and their teen son, Josh, is taking a long time in the shower.

  Dad is pissed at everyone for undermining his chances to advance to the position of elder, and doesn't understand why his wife hasn't started pioneering like she said she was going to last month.

  On the way to the Kingdom Hall, they snap and bitch at each other. Josh doesn't see why he has to go to every single meeting and expresses his hatred of field service. Kelly jumps on Daddy's side and admonishes her brother for having a bad untheocratic attitude. Mother is checking her eyeliner in the mirror and Dad gives her a disgusted look. He also thinks she wears too much perfume. As soon as they get out of the car and start walking up to the Kingdom Hall, they suddenly become smiling happy JW's again. Only Josh has a look of annoyance, which earns him a menacing squeeze on his shoulder from Dad. Josh winces and tries to look happier.

  During the opening song, Kelly looks around to the back of the Kingdom to find Robert, a young baptized brother, walking in late, hair still wet from his shower. She thinks of the sex they had earlier that day after school in Robert's mom's house. He was recently baptized to get his mom off his back. Robert wonders if anyone will be able to detect the beer he had earlier . . . or the cigarrette. He eats another mint just to make sure.

  At the beginning of the Service Meeting, a letter is read on brother so-and-so saying that he has been disfellowshipped. Dad knows it was for adultery and that another letter will be read at next week's Service Meeting announcing the disfellowshipment of sister so-and-so. He wishes he had been in on the committee meeting. He is a little hurt sister so-and-so had gone for the other brother instead of him.

  After the concluding song and prayer, Elder Fat-n-hairy PO approaches Josh to ask if he would like to go out in field service tomorrow. Josh declines and lies, saying he already has plans. The elder has been molesting Josh since he was 9 years old and is hoping to get another crack at the young man. He told his dad once, but his dad told him he was simpy misunderstanding the situation . . . that the elder/PO was just very affectionate, and not to be saying anything to anybody about it. Josh hates his father.

  Come on! Could your perspective be based upon lacking "natural affection?" This man was held in reverence by the "brethren", which is quite different than a brothel or bathhouse tryst. Maybe some of his philosophy was way out, but gay? Come on! Those shamanistic drummers have been hitting your head too hard, maybe go back to the 'Dave Clark 5'.

  I agree with this comment.

  I read your entire post, paid special attention to the red hightlighted lines . . . then put on some sha-na-namanistic drums like you've had playing for hours, then went back and read it again.

  My gaydar never once touched off over anything that was written in that account.

  Question about letters to society.

  hi.. i was reading another post about asking for your personal files.

  i was wondering if anyone knew if the society send copies of letters you have sent to them to your congregation.. i recently sent them a letter asking about the old information about the 1914 generation on their website.. i received a letter back from them that didn't answer the question (what's new) but was more a slap on the wrist for even deigning to ask.

  i was directed to a couple of articles about the apreciation and good use of older publications and told that older light had to be taken into regard with newer light and that older books still have their worth as long as we use newer ones as well.... talk about confusing.. anyway, i was wondering if they would send the elders in my congregation a copy of my letter to them?.

  Does Television Make You Fat?

  yes, folks, it does!

  just been watching jeremy clarksons greatest inventions programme.

  it was all about how tv came to be and the impact that it has on our lives.

  Also, when we sit and watch the telle, we have the habbit of stuffing our faces with junk-food. Lot's of calories combined with extreme inactivity has always equalled weight gain, no?

  so I'm trying to put on weight..
  I'm in front of the pc 6-9 hours a day, I watch tv 1-4 hours a day, I sleep 6-10 hours a day
  I eat 3 full meals a day and always eat snacks (chocolate, sweets, coke) in between.
  Admitedly I do exercise occasionally, but TV and the PC definately don't make me fat..

  Your condition is called, "BEING 16 YEARS OLD". Keep it up and it will all catch up to you.
