Yeah, I'm back . . . already. I could not sleep and decided to take a peak. I will attend my ex-JWD self-help group tomorrow for being so weak.

The E-Watchman is another self-righteous blow-bag. Why has he loosened up? Could it be because other's just like myself have been giving him crap for being such an idiot? Have other's been bringing out so many valid points against his way of reasoning that he is on the verge of losing some of his loyal schills and now he must change his tune a bit to keep them in his fold?

The July 1 st , 2004, Watchtower magazine expresses the Governing Body's sadness and concern for the many of our brothers and sisters who have become "spiritually weak" and inactive in recent years. The 11 th paragraph on page 17 states: "It saddens us, however, to notice that some of our fellow believers have grown spiritually weak and, as a result, have slowed down or stopped carrying out Christ's command to make disciples."

LOL, what a crock of horse vomit! So, the GB has "noticed" the many brothers and sisters who have become spiritually weak. Big deal. They tell the r-n-f to be deeply concerned. When a friend or elder makes that shepherding call and asks why the fader has become inactive, they might not hear the standard make-believe reply such as "grief, old age, depression and severe economic hardships. They might just walk into the home of a fading JW who lets them have it with the truth; false prophesies, hypocrisy, the UN thing, the child molestation thing and the blood thing. For replying with such candor, the fading JW gets no spiritual comfort or help. Instead, they get a warning, they get threatened with a committee meeting and the prospect of being df?d for apostasy. There is no room for any real comfort in the organization for those with legitimate reasons for leaving. The 7-1-04 WT article is just a smoke screen pretending to address the issues and lull the idiots we use to be back into the fold.

Homosexuality does exist in the organization from the top-down, although closeted, and I have seen much evidence to suggest it.

An elder in the congregation of my youth was in his late 60's, had been in the organization most of his life and had never once been married. He was an airline ticket agent at the San Diego Airport and lived alone his entire life (as far as I know) until he asked my best friend, William, to move in. William was 18 at the time and new to the organization. Nothing happened that I know of, but William sometimes made statements to me about the elder like, "Wxxxxx is strange", or "Wxxxxx gets a little weird sometimes". I would ask him what he meant, but he would never eloborate.

I also use to attend a book study in the home of two elderly sisters who had lived together for years and years. The "dude" of the two always came to the Kingdom Hall in pants and a lined flannel coat, and was very butch. The other wore dresses most of the time.

There were also all sorts of rumors going around the congregation about this young brother spending the night over at that young brother's house and he tried something funny with him . . . etc. There were a few instances I can remember.

It is a shame that gays are not understood or accepted in the organization. What trouble and heartache is brings to those unable to be themselves . . . as they live their lie.

when i first wandered into this den of liars, deceivers and half-truthers, i did not know what to expect.

my experience is that you are all the most excellent folks i have ever cyber-met.

I have learned so much from being a member of this forum, from all of you, and I wish you a lot of success and happiness. I have come across old JW acquaintances and I am glad you made it out in one piece. I have experienced so much growth in so little time, it is hard to remember exactly how I thought and what I knew before I read so many of your experiences/posts. What an eye-opener! It is good to be able to forget, although not completely, what it was like being bound the dysfunctional belief structure of a controlling cult. " Liberation " does not even convey how I am feeling these days. It is better than that. It is " Red Bull -ish" for you have all helped to give me wings.

Thank you, Simon, for putting this thing together, for it has been such a great help, and there should be some kind of award of recognition for what you have done here for so many.

I am moving on and will not be dropping by so often.

Something good has been happening to me inside lately and a fire seems to be burning in my soul that is propelling me along an exciting path. I am going to stay on that path and see what comes next. I have been so busy lately and it is good to feel so alive in my work and with my relationships. I feel as though I have beat down all the lingering JW?s in my life and they are leaving me alone, leaving my kids alone, and walking way around me instead of trying to lay their garbage on me. The incredible shaming giant in my mind that was the organization of JW?s is nothing now but a mere chuckle to me. I now feel something like a little baby who laughs whenever their parent goes "boo!".

I have found a part of myself I never knew existed, a part I only fantasized about realizing. I am thirty-seven years old, and I am on the threshold of starting my life and truly living it. It has been said that you can?t get over the past by reliving it over and over again, and this board sometimes does that to me. It sometimes puts me in that place I never want to be. Going over things in my mind and learning what kind of positive meaning to give it is the only reward for reexamining past experiences, and it is the only means by which you can move on with a lighter load . I think I am in that place now.

I am currently working on some recordings for those who asked to hear me sing, LOL. Don?t expect much. I will let you all know where to go to listen just a soon as I have them edited for my web page.

So I am getting on with it.

AHA! Moments. When you were a JW; what struck you the hardest counter?

but, the wind has been knocked out of your belief-system however briefly.

I gave myself my own "aha!" moment. It was more of a "duh!" moment, really. I was dealing with how the PO was deal with the domestic violence, alcoholism and abuse in the home of my JW ex-wife and her current JW husband. The PO and other elders were not dealing effectively with the situation and the kids were suffering terribly as a result.

I found my voice for the sake of my kids and stood my ground enough to point out to the elders what morons they were, and how they were not applying anything near the spirit of Bible-based priniciples to the chronic domestic and spiritual problems my ex-wife and husband were having. The PO told me that he was "handling things" and needed to do more research about "step-family situations". I blew a fuse and told him he was not dealing with a "step-family situation", that he was dealing with "lack of self-control, alcoholism, abusive speech, anger, domestic violence, CPS, the police, attempted suicide and reproach upon Jehovah's name . . .". I told him that I was df'd, had very little of what he would call "jehovah's holy spirit" and was living in a "step-family situation" where all of the afore mentioned problems DID NOT exist. I then told him that he was an ignorant moron and should step-down from his position because of being a complete failure. That's when it hit me. "Duh, they are all

like that and it is all bullshit, and they will literally watch my kids, one by one, slit their own wrists to escape their pain because they are not really "equipped for every good work", and would never admit it and seek real help for them.

I took a good long look at all the lies told by so many JW's I had known my entire life and compared that EXPERIENCE with the organization that claims to have "The Truth" . I first reasoned that it was merely a matter of some being in the truth but the truth not being in them . . . boy what a bad call that was. It finally occurred to me that it was all based on lies and false predictions, money and control.

i think to truly be telling a lie, you have to realize that it isn't the truth. otherwise you've just been misled which is what i think the majority of JW's are.

A lie is a lie, isn't it? Doesn't matter how much you believe it, you are still believing, and thus, perpetuating a lie.

Simply put, the entire religion is based on a lie, therefore, in order for even the most devout JW to defend it as "the Truth", they must lie: they must lie about their religion, themselves and others.

It could be the smallest thing that i catch him lying about

Bingo. That is my experience to, and I in times past found myself doing the same thing. I KNEW I was lying, I could see it in the faces of those I would speak to. They new I was lying . . . even about the smallest thing.

My mom is one of the most scrupulous witnesses I have known and she constantly lies to me. She just referred to her not calling or writing for 1 year while she was in Ecuador. Everyone knows she was there for 2 and never called. Just things like that....she KNOWS she is lying and knows that I know it too.

Another good example. Most JW's that I have been close to, do the very same thing. It is an illness. My ex-wife is another perfect example of how effed up their thinking is.

I lie all the time. More than any other people I know, and I am darn good at it too. I amaze others at how quickly I can come up with a plausible lie and not change a facial expression.

Thanks for your honesty.

I have never felt freer than when I was able to get through my day without lying about something, either to myself or somebody else.

We all know that the JW religion is full of lies and deceptions. The dwindling majority of JW members actually believe these lies. I am coming to see that more and more, JW's are capable of telling many non-religious related lies and it is striking to me.

My view is beginning to be: JW's lie more than most because they believe and live so many lies.

My question is this; since JW's willingly believe so many lies, do they find it easier to tell so many lies . . . ? Do they tend to lie more than non-JW's?

it would seem that many became atheist after being deceived by the wts.

unlike other religions, the wts was very precise in what was to happen during the 20th century.

EXJWs: Did you pursue a course of immorality and then research the JWs to look for holes in doctrine?

There are plenty of JW's in good standing living an immoral life . . . we all knew/know them. You don't have to leave the organization to live a life of sin and hypocrisy.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can live up to "Jehovah's Standards". The only one that ever did, according to the Bible, died in 33 CE.

The reason we pick holes in their doctrines is that the doctrines are already chalk-full of holes, for crying out loud. All any of us did was simply start looking at the holes instead of igoring them. You could say that "I fell through the cracks" of the organization, the really huge gaping cracks in it. Hey, aren't we suppose to be in "the truth"? What? We can't say the truth unless it is WTBTS-approved? There lies the problem.

According to the standards of the WTBTS, I did for a time, commit fornication on occasion. Who hasn't? I had long-since gotten my life squared and pretty much in harmony with "Jehovah's standards" or at least I was living in the spirit of those standards. I was poised and on the verge of getting reinstated, but every visit to the Kingdom Hall left me feeling deflated instead of encouraged. The meetings and information just did not jive with the facts of life I had learned since I was df'd in 1990. I really began seeing what hypocrites and spiritual retards most of the JW's were. I think it was my standards that had gotten a bit elevated when it came to the truth, and I was not about to go and sit back down at the special-ed table of spirituality again.

So, to all those JW's who think I left to persue a life of immorality, you are soooo far off base that it is laughable. To all those who think I am apostate because I have become under Satan's control, I just have to tell you that the demon attacks STOPPED when I started looking closer at the doctrines and when I began using my brain. I believe that Satan exists in the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses more prevelantly than a devil worshipper convention.

I was watching the VH-1 movie The Man In The Mirror, about Michael Jackson.

Everyone here knows that MJ was raised as a JW, probably contributing much to his . . . well . . . challenges.

In one scene, it's the morning of 9-11 and MJ and his mother, Katherine, are watching TV. When the second plane hits the second tower, MJ winces in terror as did his mother . . .

I did my best MJ voice and said jokingly, "It's Armegeddon!"

MJ and his mother watched in horror. MJ says, "It's Armegeddon!"

LOL, I was surprised that the movie included such a JW reference in it. I was just making a joke knowing that in real life MJ and his mother probably really thought it was the big A.

I am wondering how many JW's, most likely all of them, thought the big A was happening that morning of 9-11.
