Morpheus I was in no way attempting to create any sort of "illusion." I was merely sharing an anecdote of an incident that surprised me, and was curious as to what other people thought of it and whether they have experienced anything similar.
I know that the WT has the gall to sing the praises of children who would rather die (and who HAVE died) rather than accept blood. I also know that they have gone so far as to applaud pregnant women who have risked their own lives and that of their unborn babies in order to uphold their gross misinterpretation of scripture.
There is no illusion they can create that will ever convince me that they are anything but evil.

I just overheard her on the phone with another friend, telling them about the transfusion. She explained that the friend who accepted blood was raised in the truth but was never baptized.
I am now even more surprised that she is okay with the transfusion. -

"I'm only mad at you for not calling me sooner! I thought you were at home recovering!"
An anointed JW just gave her blessing on a blood transfusion. She essentially admitted that the only thing that would deny someone a transfusion is obedience to an organization run by flawed humans. That without commitment to said organization, Jehovah doesn't actually care what you do. And best (or worst) of all, she admitted that her friend made the right choice in order to save her own life and continue to care for her children.
How is it that they can see the glaring issue, clear as day, yet be so blind to it at the same time? -

The next "new light" will be that most the people killed at Armageddon will be resurrected. I was all a big joke and Jehovah will give almost everybody a second chance.
That is actually what I have been told by every JW I've ever spoken to on the matter. I have never met one who told me only JW's would survive, and nearly all of them said that even people like Hitler would be given a second chance. -

Movies that make you cry?
by new boy inthere have been many but i had a total melt down at the end of sophie's choice.
i hadn't cried in years before i saw that movie in in 1982. i was still very much a jw at the time.
i have no idea where the pain and sorrow came from, maybe it was the fact there are things people have gone through that we have defied all reason logic.
