It is lots of pride. There is also agnst among new members feeling like they are stepchildren. Especialy when they marry a long in the tooth JW family. In all reality I have seensome weird taste test phenomena. WHere the hall swallows the new brother whole gragels him around to see if he is good or has ANY current character flaws and then spits him out. Sisters dont have this problem because they are just potential wives. If the person has any problems they useually loose credibility. So they well ge appointed to some position and have it taken because the other brothers will stage, exploit or dig to find some flaw. THis does not stop them from reappointing the person .So you end up with peope on their 3rd time as MS or 2nd time as elder. Ofcourse nobody treats them like a "real" elder because of all the deletions and reinstatements.

i know the traditional view of some religions is that they are 144,000 literal jews who will convert near the gt to witness to the jewish population.
not sure that makes a whole lot of sense to me.

Catholic girl denied communion

It shows mostly unrealistc images of womens bodies.Unrealistic sex.
Considering the largest growing seller right now is "ameture" porn I disagree. This aint 1986 anymore. Most porn is becoming cattle calls for any aids free indiviual that can show up in a warehouse on a wensday night.
Unrealistic and sex don't really go together. It is not like a hollywood production where extensive compositing, stunt doubles and bluescreens are the norm.
So right now you really are just looking at the lives of average people that are premiscuous. This is more disturbing to many people than the old school glamor porn days where you had a "porn star". Because these people can be your workmates or neighbors and homely as sin. The I was reading a story and the director said he thinks the reason this type of porn is selling is because it is interactive and accessable. You can not only have a chance of scoring with a person of that caliber, but you have a chance of scoring with the actual person in the video, and heck you could be the person in the video.
Maybe the problem which I do find is that there are more people being sucked into the porn circuit unintentionally. I dont even look for porn, but get it all the time even though i avoid it due to the nature of the internet. Because video and pcs are so cheap anyone can set up a porn site now. You (providing you are not in a high control group that sucks up every free evening) could get quite a porn life going annonymously. Another problem is you see how "immoral" people are, and not just hedonist or nihlist. Anyone that has tape or photos of someone having sex can now become a pornographer. If it is the right person you can make millions.
It is kinda sad to think illustrious "unrealistic" porn could become the lowly realm of school teachers and janitors. Anyone able to have sex and willing to sell the footage for a few extra dollars. Then again who thought you could put these types of people on an island and pay for the footage of them eating bugs for a milliom dollars.

But isnt it going to turn into human fleash as soon as she ingest it. If the girl cant have wheat, but the church teaching that the bread turns to flesh. Then she should be okay. IF this is not the case why is she catholic or bothering with a ceremony that does not involve eating Jesus. I mean she might as well be a JW.

Wild Animals in Paradise
by JH ini remember when they said that wild animals wouldn't be wild anymore in paradise.
we could be right next to these wild animals, and no harm would come to us.. i remember seeing magazines with pictures of young children and lions next to each other.
is it realistic to believe that all animals would be nice to each other and peaceful, like shown in the magazines?

They claim that is an artistic representation. That animals will not harm humans (considering most animals are not that man hungry no duh). And that they were talking about animalistic personalities in humans becoming peaceful. The problem is it depends on the writer. THere seems to be some type of beast master/ tarzan doctrine that states things proceed normally in the animal kindgom until a human enters the picture and everthing becomes tamed.

what are the best strategy's or methods of converting a jw back into a clear thinking individual?
any anecdote or insight is welcome.

okay take a pole.
the watchtower played the same role someone converting a JW would in 1995 when it got rid of the generation of 1914 and reverted to christiandoms veiw. Sure some left, but how many?
If the watchtower can tell the JWs hey you guys are wrong you have been believing the wrong thing all these years, spell it out in a lengthy watchtower, and it not register how good can the average joe do? 1995 by most logic should have had a 1925 ish mass exodus. But it did not. JWs are not conditioned not to believe their own doctrine. Just wait it out.

In all reality most JWs know they are being lied to after they have been around, but they feel it is their right to lie because they know what is best. They have a "You can't handle the truth" complexe. I have heard many jws say "Yes that may not be true, but some members could not take a sudden change and may leave the truth. When the slave thinks more can handle it they will correct that." For all we know that could be true. THey could be figureing how to get rid of the paradise earth or 1914 or the entire slave class. Just waiting for the right moment when enought people have lost faith.
So pointing out something is not true and having them agree does not amount to much.
