um they are every day tools of the trade. So common they are makings action movies about ice cores (the day after tomarrow). Not to mention cores from the bottom of rivers and lakes and even the ocean. If there was a global flood God must have felt guilty and not only secretly ressurected people and created more animals,but restored the planet to its pre flood condition. Or like the bible said that he did actually destory the heavens and earth and somehow this is new one.

Who writes the Awake! and are they JWs?
They always print articles that disprove or contradict the watchtower's doctrines on a repeated basis. If JWs read the Awake! and the watchtower how come nobody ever notices? And how come they don't well bring up these points that some of the JWs beliefs are so dodgy that even party line JWs working at bethel have a hard time writing non biased literature that does not refute them?

You posted the 1988 article says it right ther. Also they changed the faq and adopted a firmer stance, they also say witness obey the command to abstain from blood which is not true. On a funny note I heard a recording of a circuit talk today discribing a disfellowshiped family member as thrusting their male member into the nose of God using a scripture in jerimiah. It was the most vulgar thing I have ever heard. I guess it is upbuilding to people that ummm.... ummm... hmmm... I dont know any group that would actually benifit from the talk I wish I knew when it was recorded.

Fault in human DNA strand?
by El blanko inhi there - i'm sorry if this is off topic slightly, but i need information.. i am not learned in this area of science and wondered if it is true that there is a fault within human dna that science assumes is the reason we break down and die and are unable to explain.. forgive my ignorance here.
this question spins off from a conversation i had this afternoon with an ex-jw who wishes to get back to the kingdom hall and was using this argument to present his ideas to me.
i told him that i was not aware of this particular area of study but would look into it for him.. i am assuming that he read this in an awake article maybe?.

The elders do. They just get tired and finally DFed the person. They never usually consider it a "real" DFing, and sometimes they'll hold reinstantment over the persons head if they get medical treatment or they'l say something like "Jehovah understands their hearts, but we can't have them disrupting the meetings.". Now from what I have heard they have stopped doing this and just call the police to subdue the person. But this case was from 1997 thats ages in watchtower eddict time.

I am not trying to stir anything up, but from here sounds like you guys are treating the JWs how they treat other people. No JW books, No JW meetings, no hanging around JWs unsupervised. Replace JW with the word worldly and you see the resymblance.
I am no critizing but why would the watchtower make guidelines to protect JWs from "bad association" that are the same rules Non JW family have developed on their own to keep their kids sane? Is this the nature of the beast thought quarantine inside and outside (btw I am not talking about shunning)?

Isnt this what old people do. My Gs preach to us about JWism and we are all JWs. Did you read this watchtower or that awake or what did todays text say about that.
I think it is best to teach your child people believe different things rather than JWs are harmful. I mean in 60 years your kids could be on the Governing Body.
