Just shows how the org is so expert on B.S. doubletalking and brainwashing, They have an answer for everything. If they make a mistake, it is because Jehovah hadn't revealed it to them yet. If JW's act on something and it doesnt work out that way, case in point 1975, then it is the publishers fault for acting in haste or whatever B.S. term they have now. The org never makes a mistake. God's spirit just keeps changing its mind that's all :)

there have been changes.....
by lisavegas420 inhow would you respond to the following quote.....i got this from a pro jw site.
i don't post on the site, just read.......i just wanted to know how you all would respond to this post.never let anyone cause you to doubt the organization...true there have been changes in the past in which the society readily admits to but the bottom line is that this is the channel jehovah has chosen...remember the vision of his chariot...those wheels could change any direction on a dime...it is our responsibility to move with that chariot and keep up otherwise we will be left behind with nothing better to do than finding fault with this precious organization!.
i would like to know more about the chariot wheels too....

The Loaded Question
by ezekiel3 inthere is a new fad presentation going around, a simple but loaded question.
"what would it take for you to be interested in the bible?
of course you can't say no, and if you say, "nothing" the followup question is "why?

I agree with stormfront, An arrogant person knocking unannounced at my door, asking an arrogant question that is none of their freakin' business anyways doesn't deserve an answer. Before slamming the door on them though, I would ask .. what would it take for you to get a life and leave everyone alone in peace...

Do Jehovah's Witnesses believe in God?
by Gill inif they did they would not feel the need for things like judicial committees.
they'd leave it to god who supposedly can see all to judge peoples heart condition.
i remember a young sister who left home and went to live with her boyfriend.

Yes .I agree with that also, Gill... JWS had been taught to fear Satan in their lives,, The whole religion is based on fear really.. afraid to displease God,, afraid of Satan taking ahold you (dont' go to apostate sites!!!). But most of all.. don't displease the elders and the society!!!!

Witnesses are taught to have faith in God based on the teaching from the Governing Body, The problem is- people find it hard to believe in something that is not tangible-even if they think their belief is based on faith alone. That is why they depend so much on teachings and publications from something they can relate to, a group of men claiming to be God's earthly representatives. So really, they don't believe in God , it is the God presented to them by the organization. A God that is their interpretation.

Do you think of yourself as an apostate
by barbar inmany of the people on this site say that they are apostates.
but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.
i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).

Apostate is just another label that the organization has dreamed up to further alienate ones who turn away from their beliefs, in order to scare other believing ones away from any of their influence. When I was involved in the organization, and they talked of apostates, you pictured evil and dark inviduals who are out to ruin your life, Now I see that "apostates" are just average nice ppl who want to live their lives they way they think best and serve God without the organization telling them how. As for trying to change the views of a believing JW, I don't think it is my place. If they ask my views , I will tell them. If they want to seek further and have more questions, they can search and come to their own conclusions as my husband and I did.

Kingdom Hall Annex Fire
by Kenneson inthe killeen, texas kingdom hall was vandalized last month and an annex building set on fire last week.
someone apparently doesn't like jehovah's witnesses.
but they are expressing their anger in the wrong way and sooner or later it will get them in deep trouble.

I'm wondering why Jehovah didn't protect his Kingdom Hall from the "wicked ones".After all, they are his chosen ppl....

The same thing happened with my in-laws. A wealthy brother who made his money building houses was building a house up the street from my in-laws. It was quite the mansion too. Anyways, my father-in-law took my husband up the street to show him the work they were doing on the house and introduced him to this brother and others that were there, Later, after we had left , these brothers came to lecture my father-in-law on how he shouldn't be associating with us. He thought it was amusing really, He said he would never stop talking to any of his children. Funny this advice coming from a brother who was building a fancy house and accumulating wealth in "this old system" of things. Your mother-in -law is a very wise and loving woman :)
