hi free2beme..Your story may be science fiction.. but not necessarily so far fetched.. why is the story of a allpowerful god creating everything more believeable than your story..I am not really sure what I believe anymore... but its a big universe out there and more beyond.. its no more ludicrous than believing God instructed Noah to build an Ark and then he destroyed all his creation on some whim...I read a book years ago that gave scientific explanations for all the bible stories.. I can't remember the name now.. but it made sense.. scientifically..

Did Jehovah destroy millions with a flood in Noah's day?
by fish in.
jesus seemed to believe in the story of noah's flood.
i wonder if god really drowned millions of people like the bible says for simply eating and drinking and not taking any note?

Cinema - what's right and wrong?
by penbarrel ini am a jw matriarch and have always accepted our teachings, often looking for guidance from the watchtower webpage when i was doubtful.
especially when it comes to modern culture.
i was asked by my son's friend's mother what was righetous with regard to cinema.

Ahhhh I almost forgot what was so loveable about the JWs... they way they are brainwashed to hate or shun anyone who disagrees with them questions them or thinks independently...

New to the forum - want to introduce myself
by lovelylil inhi my name is lillian and i am posting for my first time.
i was a witness along with my husband and two children for 12 years and gave in my letter of disasociation about a year and a half ago.
i have struggled with the guilt of bringing my family in contact with the witnesses (i have always been a bible searcher) and i am only coming to terms with this recently.. i now consider myself a born again believer in christ jesus and read my bible daily to check and see what is true.

Hi lovelylil.. nice to meet you and welcome.. My husband and I left for similar reasons.. the biggest reason was not wanting to raise our children in a cultlife..This is a great forum to meet others who have faced the same problems as you have and they can help you with some of your questions along the way.

Who cares about the memorial?
by daystar ini don't.... yesterday, my mother finally asked me if i would consider attending the memorial.
i just rather chuckled... "no, i don't think so.
" after a pause, i decided on an additional comment.

Nope.. the memorial is a bogus ceremony made up by a group of men professing to have Jehovah's spirit.. There's nothing special about that..

My favorite is still Taylor,,he really is a performer as well as a singer..Chris has an amazing rocker voice,,my husband says he should win and tour the country singing good ole rock and roll.......Elliot has the best voice in my opinion anyways.. last nite was his best.. he finally seemed to relax and show some personality..Katherine always sings beautifully... My vote would be for Taylor .... if only I could vote!!!

May 15 WT - Survival depends on loyal association with the organization
by truthseeker inwith the recent wt articles stressing how "new light" has appeared over the decades, this article is geared towards making sure individuals are active within the organization in order to ensure their survival.. this article is taken from e-watchman's discussion board, this is not my article.. .
http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1019&st=0.
just got a hold of the new may 15, 2006 watchtower containing the study article, "are you prepared for survival?

The point the WTS in particular and JWs in general seem to be oblivious to is that Jehovah can withdraw his approval from an organization.
Scully.. that is so true!!! But their arrogance and closemindedness is their biggest downfall..As we heard in SOL's judicial hearing,, they chastise for asking too many questions.. getting educated in anything other than the teachings of the "faithful and discree slave class"..for whatever that really means..Unfortunately..they are dealing with a new world that wants to know truthful answers to their questions and real answers from the bible ..not their man made publications..I think as the older generation dies off. and they are left to deal with a newer younger,,,,better educated generation.. they will find they have more and more problems...that is why they need to fear the internet and dreaded apostate sites....
