since realising that this organisation doesn't have the truth, i've started to notice a lot of hypocritical statements from other jw's.

they criticise others for doing the same things they do, though they don't seem to realise it.

as i'm still a part of this organisation, it makes it very frustrating for me to hear these things, and not be able to shout out about their hypocrisy.

Zico.. its so true that Dubs speak one way and act another.. That was one of many things that made me walk away. I was tired of everyone looking at what the other person was doing.. while they were doing whatever they liked and that was ok!!!

Really, when you speak about the Muslims wanting to please Allah.. well their God is as real to them as Jehovah is to the DUBs. Why does the western think they have the monopoly on a sovereign God.. And..zico....like you said.. Dubs are quite content with thinking that their God will kill anyone who doesn't think or believe their way.They are no different from the Muslims they are condeming..But, they should remember.. Muslims don't believe in killing innocent people to make their point.. it is only radical fractions.. That must mean Dubs are radicals.. They can't wait for the day when Jah rids the earth of wicked religions and non-believers..

purplebunnyfoofoo...Im so sorry what happened to you and that the lying cult of JWs allowed it to happen to you and other children as well.. They have a lot to answer for.I hope it will come soon.
Just remember, They are the criminals here and you are the innocent victim. As more victims speak out , the truth of what the society really is will come out.
I Dissasociated myself as did my husband 20 years ago as we were tired of the BS that went on there in the name of God.I would never go back or want to go back for any reason.

did that mentality keep you in fear and prevent you from leaving?

how many times were we told that the kingdom halls would be our ark and that we needed to keep going to the meetings so that we wouldnt miss the announcement that the great tribulation was beginning and the doors of the ark were closing...even though the bible says nobody knows the day or the hour?

did any of you ever pray for your relatives to die so they would have a ressurection and not be destroyed at armageddon?

When I disassociated 20 years ago, there was no internet so I didn't have knowledge of all the society's deciet and lies.I left because in my gut it just all felt so wrong.. It was wrong to raise my kids that way and it felt like a waste of time.. Besides,, as another posted has already stated,, I was so fed up with the gossip, backstabbing and general BS of the org that I didn't want to be in Jah's New System whether it came or not.. I'd take my chances..It wasn't until I found this forum a few years ago.. and thanks to the research from many posters here,, I found out that I really made the right decision..The society of Jehovah's Witnesses is all a manmade total bogus lie and a cult..

zecharia says that jehovah is going to destroy all the nations of the earth,( scripture was talking about jerusalem) are you going to be one of those destroyed?

if you are missing meetings, you are not being influenced by god's spirit, there is another spirit that is influincing you, that of satan

No where in the bible did Jesus or his disciples say there were "X" amount of hours to be spent preaching about God. It is just another bogus mindcontrol tactic of the society to keep the masses in fear and make sure they are only spending time with other Dubs. It would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic that the JW followers actually believe and follow all this nonsense.. But then I did for many years until I got tired of the endless meaningless drudgery of it all.

i called the information dept politely asking if mr brown was still a witness after commiting verbal apostasy during the interview with ldh.. i got transferred to one of their legal staff and he dropped the "f" bomb and hung up!

i on the other hand was a complete gentleman.. i would call this a golden opportunity to play up what has to be one of the most embarrasing moments for the dub leadership but is actually an important issue that any current dubz should be concerned about.

what is the actual policy of the org?

It seems like at least one of their prophecies is coming true.. That there would be false prophets and the wild beast misleading people of the earth away from true worship of God.. That describes the Watchtower society. totally.... They were describing the society all the time!!!!!!

reading the other thread made me wonder, do jw's ever truly grieve at the loss of a loved one?

i can see in front of other jw's they feel the need to maintain the party line, but in private?

So many heartbreaking stories on this thread. I know for LyingEyes ,Emma and evita, the grief of losing your mother at a young age or any age is difficult to deal with.And so sorry Lyingeyes to hear about the death of your sister such a short time ago. As witnesses we are not allowed to really feel the sorrow--- at least not to others in the congregation.
The greatest sorrow of all is to lose a child as we always feel we will go before them.. Words cannot express the grief you must feel to lose a child. Roski and Balsam,,you are courageous women to carry on after losing your sons,,I'm sorry you don't have the support of your parents, Roski..The org makes people so uncaring and cold.Not because Jws are that way naturally, but as the quote above states,they are brainwashed and controlled to feel that way.. We can only feel pity for those still in the organization who can't see the forest for the trees..

as a never-been jw, i mostly lurk here trying to learn how to deal with my jw daughter.

one thing i have learned is the many relationships that are so sadly hurt or destroyed.

i live near atlanta where there is a church pastored by a man named andy stanley and i am going to post a link to his site where there are some sermons.

Thanks for the kind words Emma, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother..don't be afraid to just break down and have a good cry,, It won't change anything of course,, but it does help with the healing..

Thanks for starting this thread Carla,, I feels good to keep talking about these experiences,,I find for myself.. it is really healing to be able to talk about it,,especially with others who have similiar experiences..

I lost my mom in my early 20's when I was expecting my second child. I know I felt the grief. Emotions are high enough when you are pregnant, but when I went to the viewing I broke down sobbing and had to leave the room.

Some made comments to me after that I shouldn't grieve because now she would be resurrected, so I shouldn't be sad over her death,, I said to 2 sisters visiting me,,, that Jesus wept when Lazarus died even though he know right after he was going to resurrect him. So why shouldn't we show grief?? The sister said to me that she had never thougth of that before.!!!!!..Dubs really don't know or understand the bible or Christ at all..They are a true cult!!!!
