17 Days: One Final Adventure
by Merry Magdalene ini once posted here a copy of my empassioned plea to the watchtower society--i want my mother back.
well, i just wanted to let all of you know that i got her back for a whole 17 days, and we had one final adventure together before she died, and there wasn't a damned thing they could do about it.. my mother is, was, a long-term loyal jw and i was her disfellowshipped daughter.
i believe she was in an almost constant state of conflict over me because her very strong maternal instincts demanded she behave openly and lovingly toward me, while her wts-trained conscience demanded the opposite.

Hate at site of convention goers!
by blumandy inso im eating dinner with my hubby and kids at a local family restaurant, when in walks some people with name tags of some sort, i cant read them, im sitting to far away, but they have the look of the convention name tags.
well i guess i can spot a jw right off, because sure enough as i got closer, there it was a flash back from the past.
the same ol name tags.

I feel the same as other posters here. I don't hate them but I really pity them. I know how I was brainwashed for so many years and how much wasted time of my life invested in that bogus cult..I just feel very sorry for them and hope that some of them will find out the 'Truth" about the "truth" before they waste away their lives. I often wonder about my friends I grew up with, as we are getting older. Don't they wonder why the end is always near but never here? Don't they feel they have wasted their lives???

it may even be a wt study article.. in the august 15 watchtower, the box "in our next issue" has three forthcoming articles, and one of them is "when a loved one leaves jehovah".
of interest, it's not when a loved one leaves the society, it's jehovah.. will keep you posted.

by Zico insince realising that this organisation doesn't have the truth, i've started to notice a lot of hypocritical statements from other jw's.
they criticise others for doing the same things they do, though they don't seem to realise it.
as i'm still a part of this organisation, it makes it very frustrating for me to hear these things, and not be able to shout out about their hypocrisy.

Can you admit that you "used to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses"?
by undercover ini was reading about minimus' trip to the hospital and his telling them that he "used to be a jw" but he would take blood now if needed.. it got me to thinking; i don't like telling people that i used to be a jw.
that's in my past and i prefer to keep it there.
if asked about my upbringing or religious preference, i usually just comment on being brought up in a strict religion but i got over it..and then try to change the subject.

I honestly wept over a recent Watchtower study article that presented a new teaching that the Cities of Refuge in the Hebrew Scriptures represent the organization and not Jesus' life-saving sacrifice. When they reject or downplay the basis for forgiveness by what basis can they be forgiven?
Wow.. what an article..He is slowly coming to realize that the society's teachings are not bible based and are getting farther and farther from acknowledging Christ and only wanting the GB and organization to be worshipped.. I think it shows how the society is afraid of more and more people discovering the the Watchtower society is only man-inspired,, not God-inspired.. If this young guy can see it,, how many others must be reading the writing on the wall??

I was taught from a child by my mom that they were the only true religion and if I didn't follow the society's doctrines and beliefs.. I would die at Armegeddon.

Which beggars the question that has been discussed here previously: Do you think that JWs would commit murder if the WTS could convince them that this is what Jehoobie wants?
Well we all know they do committ murder already in Jah's name.. Look at the innocent children who have died from no blood transfusions or people who died in the days they wouldn't allow organ transplants.. Unfortunately,its all done in the name of praising Jah.. and these poor brainwashed smucks who gave their lives are praised for their loyalty to the death for Jehovah..
