by Annie Over inwhen i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.
it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.
i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.

But, but, but, invisible pink unicorns don't dance!!
Well how can you know if they don't dance?? They are invisible after all..
If Annie feels better about her life believing God looks after her, good for her. Many beliefs make the world go around.Maybe she was posting to get reactions from us, and laughing at our posts. Maybe she is really searching for her own truth, deciding if the way of the Dubs is right for her. I think she does need to put it in perspective that God must have bigger concerns on his plate than her purse, but in any case...Glad you got your purse back , everything in tact

What's the worst dish your mother ever made you eat?
by mrsjones5 inyep folks this is a fluff topic .
mine is yellow squash with onions.
it's a truely hideous dish.

I guess I was lucky because my mother herself acknowledged that she was a picky eater as a child. She said her parents would try to make her eat, even offering her pennies(big money in the 1930's) to eat. So she knew how it felt being forced to eat something you didn't like. She never made us eat anything we didn't want to.

Remember when KH's had a piano and real singing?
by WingCommander inthe thread about got me thinking about my very early childhood, back when witnesses were allowed to be social and have get togethers.
they also had a piano in every congregation i ever attended, and an older sister would always play the kingdom melody.
there was actual singing - not mindless droning and humming.

Yes I remember when they played the piano for meetings and also for weddings. There was two older sisters who took great pride in playing and they would play the piano in a very dramatic and flamboyant way. It was great watching them. It sort of put you in the rhythm and feeling of singing the song. Then I remember that it was discouraged from the" powers that be" because they felt it was putting them on a pedestal or making too much of their talents or some bogus way of thinking. I remember the sister feeling put out and sad because she really enjoyed leading the congregation in song..The org really likes to squash all dreams, or anything that makes you feel a little bit better about yourself..

The beautiful lakes in northern canada. Georgian Bay where many Hollywood celebrities have magnificent cottages. Some lakes are so clean you still drink from them.
Vancouver BC,,,, the beautiful city of Toronto, the nations capital Ottawa
The CFL... next best thing to the NFL... my son was just drafted to the BC Lions as a defence player. We are loving watching him play as it was his childhood dream to play professional football.

How big is the Watchtower carrot?
by Honesty ini don't want to brag, but i have good news!
one of the elders said that i progressed considerably in reading and that after i get baptized, he wants to use me as the brother that reads the paragraphs in the watchtower study.
i went from being frightened of raising my hand to comment, to the possibility of me being the one reading the study for the congregation.
