I have looked forward to Blondies weekly WT commentary. I appreciate it must be a lot of work and I shouldn’t expect it but should enjoy it when it appears. Just want her to know it's enjoyed and appreciated.

I didn't know why the site was down so it felt eerie every time I would try getting on the site and the message was runtime application error - - I thought a virus or other serious attack shut down JWD!! What happen?

What is now the most accurate Bible to buy??
by WingCommander innow that i've read ray franz's part about how his uncle and others with little actual greek or hebrew training translated the bible into the nwt, i've been interested in finding the best bible out there is correctly translated by people who know what the hell they are talking about.
niv?
i've also been looking at other religions lately, ones that are "somewhat" close to the jw's teachings to an extent, and have been interested in seventh day adventists.

I agree with many of the other who stated that comparing several different translations will help you best gain the context and meaning of the verses. I very much enjoy using: The Life Application Bible, The Living Bible from Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. The one I use, uses Jehovah's name extensively in the Old Testment or Hebrew scriptures.

My Story
by XJW4EVR ini was adopted into a jw family in southern california.
my birth mother gave me up after 6 months (the terms mom & dad refer to my adoptive/real parents).
she gave me up due to the fact that she already had a three year old boy, and back in the late sixties it was not as socially acceptable to be a single mother.

Re-instatement - How long ex - elders?
by CaptK ini am a white male and was d'fed in late 2000. i started attending the sunday talk and wt for the last two years.
my old congregation was merged into a new congregation following the years that i was gone (downsizing yes) with now all the elders are another race than myself.
i wrote a re-instatement letter in mid dec...which the elders never answered till mid jan... for a committee hearing.

Just continue to send a brief note every four weeks saying you would like to be reinstated. This continues to put the onious on them to respond. This is crude but true.

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 3-5-06 WT Study (Patience)
by blondie inhis faithful servants--only jws, not "so-called" christians.
7 a second point that we can draw from peter's words is that jehovah is patient because he desires all to attain to repentance.
"consider the patience of our lord as salvation," wrote peter to fellow christians.

This discussion reminds me of a movie a recently watched called "Crash". It deals with cultural indfferences, prefudices and how it impacts all our lives. It's raw and gripping and worth the view. The core message is the consequences of intolerance.
