i have been living in my new house since november.
i have been home every weekend, saturday and sunday mornings.
i live in a big city, in a densely housed area.. there has not been a single jw door-knocker this entire time!!!!
We occasionally see them out and about. Usually when the C.O. is in town. The last witnesses to call at our door were the C.O. and P.O., about 12 or 13 years ago. Although we have spotted them in our neighbourhood a couple of times.
The territories aren't being covered like they used to be.

is it just me or are the winter olympics boring?.
i dunno, maybe ice hockey sometimes is interesting and a few of the short speed skating events...but ice skating, all the skiing events, even snowboarding....it all seems pretty boring to me.
and i like to ski but watching it on tv - boring.. the summer games are so much more interesting.. -eduardo
I personally find everything about the Olympics boring. Summer or winter.

i have lately started to think many things over.
as i adquire more knowledge, or other kind of knowledge, i see things more and more in another light.
it's a strange and thrilling experience i'm going through.
I believe you're right, Trojan. That's the effect that the shunning policy has on the congregations. I don't think the "Society" cares though. I believe what others have said here. It's about mind control, not about keeping the congregations clean.
And besides, most of those "double-lifers" have guilt issues. We all know how the Organisation likes to keep people feeling guilty.

i'm considering buying a car this year.
i'm getting a really good offer for a 1994 ford mustang cobra for about $7500 (its been modified :-d ).
and a black viper that a guy has been trying to sell me for weeks.
I don't ever remember it being much of an issue. More a personal choice thing. We didn't get a 4 door car until long after we quit going. So much easier to haul a cello in.

the article tries to highlight what they consider significant events.
