The one I'm on is Amitriptyline. For the same reason. Maybe he's worried about the grogginess that can set in when you first start taking it. A kind of mental fog.
I hope it helps you.

my doc just wrote a prescription for this.
antidepressant that aids in chronic pain, i have googled it already and am curious if anyone else has been on it or knows someone etc.
he told me he wants to keep a close eye on me in case of complications.

it's -35 degrees celcius here.
with the windchill, it's -45 (that's -49 farenheit for those in the us).
had to let the truck warm up for a good 10 minutes today, and it was solid as a rock (yes, it was plugged in).
Hey Nosferatu, better make sure the brass monkeys are put away.

i've posted a version of this before, and didn't get much of a response.
but doggone it, i'm gonna try again, but a little better presented.
the official doctrine regarding the "faithful discreet slave" is that it is the remnant of anointed christians was selected by christ several years after his return in 1914. as stated by the watchtower magazine:
So, do you think it's time they did another revamp of this doctrine?

48 years.
great times with good friends many many many of those = sweet.
for a variety of reasons they are unaccessible to me now = bitter.
I know what you mean, Joelbear. We were just talking about that very subject yesterday. I'm getting tired of starting over. Every time I readjust my thinking, it seems to bring about physical changes in my life that I have to adjust to. New routines and new people.

Hi Thankyou12. Welcome to the board.

i have heard alot of ex-jws say that the "rev" book was a big joke and they could not believe the things written in it by the gb.
i know that the rev book came out in 1988 but i left in 1990 and had faded around the time the book came out.
i was just wondering what did the book say that caused you devout jw's at the time to think to yourself "they got to be kidding"?
It was a dreadful book. One thing that struck us is that the warnings to the seven congregations fit the organization, even though they tried to apply them to "Christendom".
Another thing is that they got the order of the trumpets all wrong. It's bad enough that they applied them to those non-event conventions, but they had the trumpet blasts starting with the seventh, then the fifth and sixth, and then 1,2,3 and 4. I guess they don't teach them how to count in the University of Awake.

the heroes can do nothing but good and the villains can do nothing but bad.
brother screwup: "i'm just an imperfect man.
they alone are the heroes and all others are the villains.
Spot on!! That sums it up very well. Although I do suspect that a fair number of non-JWs are affected by black and white thinking as well. At least their behaviour seems to indicate that.

looking at this chart i can't help but notice that pre-1984 the growth statistics were extremely erratic.
then, all of the sudden in 1984 the growth statistics calmed down and have ever since fallowed a much more stable trend.
it's almost a straight line after 1984.. so what happened?
We were studying to be baptised in 1982. One thing that I noticed is that the fallout from the "Ray Franz" purges had settled down by then.

i have been living in my new house since november.
i have been home every weekend, saturday and sunday mornings.
i live in a big city, in a densely housed area.. there has not been a single jw door-knocker this entire time!!!!
Noooo thank you, DaveNwisconsin. I don't think anybody's complaining.
