i used to post in a forum much like this years ago.thought i would jump in this one.i have visited here several times and browsed your posts.i have enjoyed reading your posts and will be in here to read more and sometimes comment.looks like everyones said the usual jw stuff and my stories would be just more of what you all have been through or know of.it appears our histories are the same.now its time to make our own history.glad to be a part of this family in this forum.i really enjoy the great sense of humor many of you have.i have been laughing ever since i left the borg society.i tend to be satirical and i like to make people laugh.sometimes i can be damn right cold and mean but mostly to those that force their religious beliefs on others whether its crashing planes into buildings or 'placing ' magazines.they are all the same to me.simply- if it hurts it is wrong.thanks for allowing me this membership.hello to all my new brothers and sisters and i bet real love.

so i went for a ride and stopped by this scenic overlook not to far from my house.
i sat on the bench there just looking at the mohawk valley at its best.
i started thinking what a waste life is when you don't have anyone to share beautiful moments like this with.
Sorry you're having a down day. Hopefully your wife will come around.

i am always amazed at how people i would consider, smart, believe the media so much.
they will say they have gone to college or have read information on topics, and then be swayed in their thinking by one news program.
do you trust the media?
I'm afraid that I tend to be more skeptical than is healthy. I usually believe them when they say that someone has died. I believe them when they say "daylight saving time" has begun or ended. I think they usually accurately report what the date of their broadcast is. Other than that, I tend to doubt everything they say.

my husband mentioned to me this morning that he was glad i had this resource and some support to help me through this.
he also made the comment: can you imagine trying to leave without the internet?
that got me thinking, it is hard now, how much harder was it back then, before the internet.
I remember days and days spent studying. Comparing scriptures to what was said in the Watchtower. By the time we left, we no longer believed it was "the truth". But, still, until we found this site, there was no where that we could discuss a big chunk of our life.

i just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .
bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".
i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .
Minimus, what I think he's doing right now is rotting. Probably not in hell, though. Even if he should be.

i am going to try this on my legs.
has anyone, or does anyone get their legs waxed?
how bad does it hurt?
Well, it's pulling out hairs enmass. The first time you wax is the worst. The nerve endings get kind of desensitized after a while. Just think back to when you first started plucking your eyebrows.

so far, i've been left alone.
no one's bugging me.
i hear the c.o.
Well, it's been about 15 years now since we've been in a KH. They seem to have forgotten about us. So I'd say that our "fade" is, at the moment, a success.

i found this web site while researching jws (my immediate family on my dad's side is jw, except for my dad, who was subjected to the programming from birth, and who seems to be caught in some strange world between the jw world and the real one).. for the most part, these are decent, kind, loving people.
the only problem is that they are jws!.
i myself am atheist, so in theory i should them to be atheist also, but i'd gladly settle for steering them into a different form of christianity.. anything but jw.

normally i am fine but a glass and a half of wine and my heart is breaking.
the irony of it is is that i was as lonely as this in the congregation.. i feel overwhelmed with life and never seem to get anywhere or get anything done.
god, i sound pitiful.
