Of course not.... they have taken out many things that point to the divinity of Jesus. Compare John 1:1 to any other version of thhe bible and you will see the big difference. which is in the NWT; all the others basically say the same thing. If all these other bibles are basically consistant with each other I would think twice of the NWT being the only accurate version. I would like to say that it is just a translation of the bible. Just like the KJV. I have heard a pastor say that the KJV is the only true translation of the bible. Does this mean that before that particular version was published there were no other accurate bible's out there for others to read? That is such a lie!!!

Is the NWT really the most accurate translation of the Bible?
by godsgurl ini have heard jw claim that the nwt is the most accurate translation of the bible and the persons who translated the bible were inspired by the holy spirit.
but if this is so then why was the nwt revised so many times?
did the holy spirit get it wrong the first time?

If you do not believe that Jesus is whe He said He was and have not accepted Him as your saviour; then you are not saved, and technically not a Christian. A Christian is a follower of Christ. To be a follower you need to believe that He was who he said he was and accept Him as your savior.
Many people consider JW's and Morman's to be Christians, but they are not. When you dig into their religion and find out to where they have Jesus, then that is when you find out whether they are Christian or not. He was not an angel; the bible states clearly that the angels are lower than man. Jesus is not below us. Also, the bible clearly states that there is only one true God. So for the JW's to state that Jesus is a God but not Almighty God is false also. Jesus made it very clear the He was Almighty when He was on earth.
So, I pray for those lost in cults like these. Many of them know no other way of life. It is really quite sad....

If you are married; do you wear a wedding ring? If so man, then you are participating in a pagan tradition. The wearing and exchanging of Wedding rings have pagan origins. Why do we wear wedding rings now? Tradition. Also, many of the traditions performed in a wedding are of pagan origin. But they are now done because of tradition.
Honestly, much of things we do today are rooted in paganism.
The point is that WE are not partaking in the light that the pagans intended. We are not worshipping their false God.
Also, to comment from another post: The birth of Jesus WAS important. If He had not have been born He could not have done what He did. Correctly, His death was the focus. But definately I am glad He was born and celebrate not only His birth but His death.

Though shalt not question ze tower
by jacethespace inwell sometime ago when i was meeting at the kingdom hall i overheard someone whos been in the tower all his life say to someone " have you heard that the number of the annointed are going up and not down, people are saying they are of the annointed when they are not".well since, i have spoken to an elder about overhearing this and all i got back was " no this person wasnt questioning the watchtower, just pointing out a problem".so they know this is going on and they dont even question anything.its just so ridiculous for people who examine and scrutinze for study every word the wt puts out.

It is really about the control they have over you. If you have been there all your life you are scared of losing all those close to you; friends and family; really everything you have ever known. However, it is just as hard on a convert. Because you have basically alienated yourself from your family and friends not wrapped up in that cult.

"New Light" Not Waking People Up !!!
by AlphaOmega ini have absolutely no idea how to get through to some people.... i mentioned the 1935 change to a jw, and told him that i'd seen the change coming... it was a logical progression, not a revelation from god to the fds.... his response ?.
"i've also had changes revealed to me before the fds makes the change, it just goes to show that jehovah reveals it to his people and that the witnesses have the truth.".
aaaaargh !!!!.

I think that the whole point is that God does not change. His word and plans and purposes are perfect, and infallible. So honestly, the JW is going against God's word to say that a "new light" has come up. That is essentially calling God a liar. Do you think that God would say one thing and then later say, "well, I change my mind..." It does not make sense. Anyone that knows the bible would know that. But then again studying of the bible outside of the watchtower is not recommended. I have never understood the whole "new light" thing. But I have always viewed it as the JW blatantly calling God a liar.
