Thanks Randy and Blondie!
yesterday, my brother and his son were in town visiting.
me and the wife decided to go out and get some pizza to bring back for supper.. when we pulled up to the pizza shop, a guy came up to the car window and gave us his sob story about how he had cancer removed, how he refused to stay in the homeless shelter, and presented a stack of papers stapled together along with his mb health card.
he asked for any change that we may have.
I work downtown in a pretty large city.
I get approached a lot. (from homeless etc)
My solution: i bought coupons from a downtown burger joint, within walking distance, and i give them to each one who asks.
I don't know each one's circumstances, but i can afford to buy a burger for someone who says he's hungry...

i have been attempting to retrieve any news articles surrounding the recent court decision to no avail.
can anyone provide a link?
i had a conversation with an elder yesterday who seemed extremely shocked that jehovah did not grant the watcthtower a victory, actually he found it hard to believe.
I am not aware of an article, but i will ask my staff if anyone has received/seen one....
The press, in general, are not aware/ do not understand the significance of this ruling. (imo)

On the 'child abuse' page, there is a link to the actual opinion, posted by Barb Anderson...
Does that help?

Dunno what will happen..
Wouldn't surprise me to get a fast turn-around from the Cali Sup Ct.
For other questions, (if you're REALLY interested), email me; i don't feel comfortable posting more on a public forum.

It appears WTS will appeal to Calif Supreme Court re this ruling.
More DRAMA.....
Bad news: delay.
Good news: precedent from a higher court, if, as i believe, higher court affirms appellate decision.
