  I have about 15 Angelina Jolie screensavers that I flit between on a daily basis. My ringtone is a normal phone sounding ring, and when I have a text message, it say (a la Special Ed on Comedy Central's Crank Yankers) "I got mail.. yaaayyy I got mail.. Yaayyy!"

  all the wars that i have studied have been attributed to religious beliefs who's foundation whereby being unfounded and un-provable.

  trust in gawd, allah, jesus, jehovah, mohammed and on and on is what the lost say, or "the lord will provide" for that matter.

  I am going to say pride on this one (i.e. placing yourself above others)... Money / Greed? All you can do is buy things to be proud of, and make people think you are better. Religion? Naah, religion in itself is mostly harmless, but when pride is introduced is when people decide that they are definitely right and you are definitely wrong, and you deserve to die, etc.

  The story of the way Satan wanted the Earth for himself (metaphoric or not) was a matter of pride. He wanted the Earth so that he could hold power over it and have Jehovah's worshippers as his. He wanted others to envy him, so he could be proud.

  yup... i had forgot how much i enjoyed it until last night, when i kicked back with wifey, watched a movie, and enjoyed the amazing, timeless combination of a good red wine, an amazing cheese, and the simplicity of crackers.. are there any simple pleasures of life that you just love?.

  It's good to read of everyone else's simple pleasures. It really is the simple things in life that make it all worthwhile.

  well, it's time.

  monday morning the 17th at 6 am i go in for ye ol' hernia operation.

  i asked to be put "out" as i had the option for staying partially awake.

  where everyone puts the past behind them, moves on and tries to rekindle what might otherwise have been good friendships, under ideal circumstances?.

  several here in times past, i have been rude to, offensive even.

  but if just for one post, i could make one further friend from this admission and give that individual everything in my power to assist them and become mates, the post will have been worth it.. how many of us might do that here right now?.

  Going Bald?

  ok, i went to get my hair cut yesterday, and i told her i wanted to do something different.

  i've had it long, then colored it blonde, spiked it, and now it's short.

  Smoke and orbs ... hmmm ... surely not?

  a friend of mine has had many odd experiences through his life, the latest being a series of very odd occurances in his house involving the manifestation of swirling mist (or smoke) and bright orbs passing through the living room area.. he hesitated to tell me these recent events due to feeling foolish.. his girlfriend has also witnessed the same events in the same area of the property.. weird eh?!.

  a few years back he returned home (to another house) and noticed a glowing ball above his property and for some reason he commanded it to move to the right, which it promptly did and then returned to the centre before vanishing.. he has also heard padding sounds across the floor in his new house, like a dog moving around the property.

  his girlfriend reported hearing this first and my friend said she was probably imagining it until he heard the same after a bin fell over in the main living area.. anybody else here had these kinds of experiences?.

  Yeah Sirona.. heads up...

  I have had some strange experiences. One of which involved a tiny but bright orb. It was just like a pinpoint of light. I was lay in bed, my wife had just left for work. I was just relaxing, when over in one corner of the room the light appeared... it just hung there about a foot below the ceiling in the air. It was beautiful... I sat up and looked a little closer, shortly afterwards it disappeared as quickly as it came. I examined the area where it appeared, and it had left no trace.

  Was very interesting.
