You are probably correct in the $ amount the movie has taken in as the majority of folks out there would not be interested in it - but with our past experiences as JW's, we found it to be entertaining and engaging - stimulating our thinking which we now allow. I have no doubt that most on this board would be LAO at many points in the movie. It will probably be out as a rental soon.

Anyone ever had "rolfing therapy"?

i know...when i first heard my doctor mention rolfing i thought he meant throwing up!

lol.

february 26 of 2002, i was rear ended while at a complete stop by a 3/4 ton truck going between 30-40 mph.

LOCAL JW BUSTED FOR KIDDIE PORN

i just saw on the local news that a jw i have personally met and whose family i know was arrested for child pornography.

he is only about 30 years old.

this is the second case in 2 months involving an arrest for a child sex crime within the same congregation (the man on the news actually moved away a few years ago).

There are other ways to remember a loved one other than subjecting yourself to the Cult's influences. We had no KH memorial for my dad who died under their control.

A KH wedding is the saddest event of all as you watch them become entangled in that 3 corded WTS rope.

I have to share this story -

...this is a newspaper clipping that I carried in my Bible for several months when I had become SO annoyed at a certain elder's usage of the word, APPRECIATE, in his talks, prayers over the years. I had started to do a checklist during his parts of how many times he used the word - in just one 5 minute part, it was used 18 times! Clipping made me realize that it wasn't only me!

Feb. 2002 WORD HATING MAN SENTENCED

Galveston, Texas (AP) - A man who becomes upset when he hears certain words was sentenced to six years in prison for shooting his girlfriend because he thought she was about to say "New Jersey".

Thomas Ray Mitchell, 54, was convicted earlier this month of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for shooting Barbara Jenkins outside his apartment in March 1999. He faced up to 20 years.

Jenkins died recently but it was not connected to her injuries from the shootings.

this year at the dc, we were expressly told to wear our badges at all times, even when going to a restaurant or some place else, so we could "give a witness.".

did any of you hear follow through with this arrangement?

did you have one of those "fantastic" experiences, when someone commented on your badge?.

but when I was a kid in the late 60's we always had a WA taped up on the car windows as we drove to the assembly and thought it was so cool to beep and wave at others when we spotted their WA in the window!
