he was friendly initially but backed away from me quickly.
when he heard i barely attend any meetings.. i ran into him again last week.
That really works! Everytime I stumble by a dub and they ask about me, I say I'm doing wonderfully fine! By the way, that's 100% true; I've never been better since I faded.
By saying this, they have a lot of food for thought. Cognitive dissonance shows up and they have to deal with the fact that there is Happiness outside the so-called "happiest people on earth."

I think humor can be a great tool to help dubs open their eyes. There was a tentative discussion on this rarely mentioned but very relevant topic in the past by stillajwexelder: Could Humor help the WTBTS Demise? Unfortunately, this subject doesn't get as much attention as it deserves. Sometimes a witty comment or a funny, intelligent, remark can do more good to a Witness to make them think than a lot of critical analyses about WT mistakes that we get into.

i was just remembering back to when i was around 13 years old or so.
my friend, who was 15, and i were both pretty sick and tired of field service.
we tried to work together as much as possible and one summer we worked almost exclusively alone as door-to-door partners.
It is a make-believe ministry... This is so common but of course no dub would ever mention doing it. Makes you think about the fact that the hours reported are actually empty numbers.
Anyone else ever did it?
