How I was not convicted for killing a California Condor once...How could this story be funny with an awful subject like that??
by oompa inonce i had been arrested for shooting the condor, the animal rights/environmental activists went justifiably nuts and were picketing the trial like crazy.
but when my turn came to testify i told the judge that i was guilty but very very sorry...and that i hoped they would understand and be lenient.
i explained how i was camping and hunting in the wilderness and fell and broke my leg and was stranded for days...once i ran out of food i became very weak and scared but fell asleep...when i woke i saw a large bird on a rock ledge right above me and quickly raised my gun and shot the bird for food...i did not even know it was califonia condor at the time...but i ate the large bird for three days until i was found and rescued.

2 person tent recommendations wanted
by poppers ini'm looking for an affordable 2 person tent and would like input from anyone who has experience with camping.
it will be used during the ride across minnesota, my 5 day bicycle tour at the end of july.
i'm leaning toward a hooligan 2, manufactured by coleman, but will consider other options.

Thanks for the input, rub. One of the considerations is ease in putting it up since it will just be me in the tent. I will take a look at your suggestions.

Is there anyone here who has this tent or has other recommendations? Weight isn't an issue since it will be transported by truck to each campground. Thanks.

MY CONSULTING TRIP TO BETHEL (starting over) PART 6
by seven006 inwithin a few weeks i leased a condo on the banks of the willamette river just out side the city of portland.
as she got into her car she looked at me funny again, laughed and just shook her head.. .
i told him that if i said i was sorry, i knew that is what they wanted to hear but it was not the truth.

It was stories and writing such as Dave's that kept me coming back to this board even though I've only had the most tenuous connection to JWs. I wish you well, Dave.

My two week consulting trip to Bethel (the beginning of the end) Part 4
by seven006 inthe next day was going to be tough.
i had to do kind of a portfolio check session with the illustrators and work on some photo retouching for an up coming italian awake magazine and work with someone from the graphics department on the miniaturization issue.
as i walked around a little bit i noticed a large hell scanner sitting in a room with a plastic tarp over it.

I wanted to go back and put a little sign on the door of the secret library that said "When leaving please turn the light off, a new light will be installed on each visit."
I did slip the wine bottle carrying kid a twenty and told him not to share it with his boss. I swore Id never go back to that restaurant. I don't think a couple of Muslim fundamentalist liked the service there either.
That's some great stuff.

Is There Any Real Difference Between Elders & Priests?
by minimus ini see very little except that priests wear black..

Elders get confessed to, priests get confessed to.
One can be assured that what gets confessed to a priest in a confessional stays there. Can the same confidentiality be assured to those who confess to elders?
