  what is the stupidest thing a jw ever told you?

  we all know that they say a lot of stupid things, but what really topped the cake?.

  for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.

  i'm new here but have been lurking here for a couple of months.

  i am 3rd gen born in but have been inactive for a few years but always had the intention to make another go of the truth, but not now that i know ttatt.

  i became inactive due to the inhumane treatment from family members who are elders.

  i'll call him bear, like teddy bear because he's big and nice.

  bear's the coboe, an intelligent but jittery man who suffers from a host of anxiety disorders.

  he 'just happened' to be driving down my street after the group, and 'just happened' to notice i was at home, tending to some animals.

  You see him standing at the back of the hall before he goes up, puffing like a bellows and psyching himself up. Constantly exposing yourself to a stressor in that manner can't be good for you.

  You'd think someone in his position would relish being on the platform by now, or at least be so used to it that he wouldn't be so anxious about it. Maybe this is how cognitive dissonance is manifesting in him.

  i am going to gripe about something that is so annoying and i know people here see it, as we all do.

  every single time a terrorist attack or a shooting takes place today.

  there is an endless amount of bull crap false stories, pictures, video clips, etc.

  L3G, I didn't see anything in that thread about a breakup, or did I just miss it? Bats in the belfry is just speculating why they aren't married yet; nothing definite about a breakup.

  "the origin of the universe" at 8 p.m. tuesday(4-15) at.

  caltech, pasadena calif.. about 500 free tickets for the talk will be available on.

  She died of multiple sclerosis, a terrible disease. I've been raising funds for research the last 4 years, which is why I do the 5 day 300 mile bike ride, The Ride Across Minnesota, each July. I'll keep her in mind as I pedal away this year.

  first, i'd like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to cedars, barbara and the rest of the staff who put this together... it's something we all hope will have great success in exposing the watchtower's continuous deception and manipulation.. however, i don't think it's too late to change the name to something less militant or less confrontational.... my humble suggestion is ... pafjw (pacifist association of former jehovah witnesses).
